Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.

This will probably blow up in Larry Scott's face but okay

Dennis Dodd reports that scoreboards in Pac-12 stadiums will now show replays during official's reviews. Might be nice for the fans to see the same thing the officials see when reviewing controversial plays, but considering how awful they are their jobs and how often they get these calls wrong, I can see these replays turning into riots for the fans.

Not that that's a bad thing...

You always bring up the times the Pac-12 refs are wrong.

Fans will just beat their chest during the reviewed play replays. Ergo, the review replays won't last long.

Fans can't understand the emotion on the field.

Christ I'm so glad Sark is at USC.

Watching his team faceplant this season will be so vindicating.

Even if Petermayne isn't that great, at least he won't make fucking stupid excuses.

That's great news, put the pressure on these fuckers to get it right.

The Pac12 will now have 8 officials on the field so I expect the number of shitty calls to go way, way down. Really...

I'd say the problem with the pac12 officials is the volume of flags they throw. If they had that quick a trigger with 7, God helps us now that they have 8.

The 8th guys only job I believe is to spot/set the ball. Allows the other officials to get in better position without impacting game tempo.

The problems run even deeper. This is a conference that kept glasses ref employed

My thoughts exactly when I heard the 8th official would be on the field. One more bozo to throw a flag and ruin the game. Every damn year Pac12 teams are the MOST PENALIZED IN THE NATION. So, teams in the Pac12 are consistently less disciplined than any other conference? Right. Seems every one of those idiots have been schooled they're not doing their job unless the laundry comes out. Larry Scott was asked that very question at Pac12 media days and danced around the issue. It does seem he wants to improve officiating so we'll see where this goes.
