    Beastie Boys, particularly Paul's Boutique.

Listen to KEXP tomorrow, they are playing the album and every song sampled on the album. Interviews with the band and the Dust Brothers.

    This.

GTFO, where are Three 6, Screwed up click, and Outkast?

Triple 6 is from #MyMemphis but let's be honest, they're not GOAT material. For these purposes I was considering a "group" to be > 2, (otherwise Erik B and Rakim would be here too) but Outkast is legendary for a reason no argument there. And I honestly don't know enough about Screwed Up Click to comment.

Such a tough call between Bone Thugs and Wu-Tang for me. I like the solo stuff from Dre, Ice Cube, and Eazy E better than the stuff on NWA albums, but it's hard not to pick them too. Cypress Hill deservedly didn't get any votes, but they are good too. Geto Boys should be on the list.

2 Live Crew is pretty weak. I guess it's fun party music, but they suck. I've never been into Public Enemy either.

Agree that neither of them would be in my personal rankings, but I figured they'd have some fans. Geto Boys is a good call, though my favorite old school Dirty South group was Goodie Mob. But Bushwick > C-Lo as far as rap midgets are concerned.

Fair enough on Outkast being a duo and three six not being the greatest, though starting that whole horror rap sub genre was pretty important in Southern rap.

Agree, but to be rap group superiority asshole, 3-6 has more than 2 members. Crunchy Black and Gangsta Boo say hi.

Triple Six has like a million honorary members. I was referring to Outkast.
