Reno Write InBeastie Boys, particularly Paul's Boutique.
Listen to KEXP tomorrow, they are playing the album and every song sampled on the album. Interviews with the band and the Dust Brothers. -
Wu TangYikes a lot of Twisting going on in this thread.
I'm not going to say Wu Tang by a landslide but they are the best. Some of the best albums ever. 36 Chambers, Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords (personal favorite), Tical, 4:21 The Day After, Wu Tang Forever, Iron Flag, Fishscale, Legend of the Liquid Sword... Too many amazing albums to rattle off.
Method Man to this day is still one of the best live performances I have ever seen. Maybe it was partially due to having a blunt passed to me ever 10 seconds but still.
NWA based on sheer success of the individual members/group sure... But the Monks of Shaolin get my vote.
Oh and where the fuck is the love for one of the greatest Hip Hop bands of all time THE ROOTS. -

Great poont on The Roots, definitely a worthwhile addition to the list.CuntWaffle said:Yikes a lot of Twisting going on in this thread.

Such a tough call between Bone Thugs and Wu-Tang for me. I like the solo stuff from Dre, Ice Cube, and Eazy E better than the stuff on NWA albums, but it's hard not to pick them too. Cypress Hill deservedly didn't get any votes, but they are good too. Geto Boys should be on the list.
2 Live Crew is pretty weak. I guess it's fun party music, but they suck. I've never been into Public Enemy either. -
Reno Write InGTFO, where are Three 6, Screwed up click, and Outkast?
