Wu TangGotta go with the Wu, but they're almost a category of one. I know there's a bunch of children on this bored, still don't forget about Run-DMC. Influential musically, and perhaps more so culturally by starting to mainstream hip hop.

Bone Thugs N HarmonyThe correct answer is NWA when you consider the impact and solo careers of the members. I always loved bone thugs sound, there's nothing really like them. Seems like whenever they touch a track as a featured artist it takes the music to another level. "Notorious Thugs" with Biggie is one of the greatest songs all time.
