If you're going to feel intimidated or oppressed by the existence of a monument, then you should just go light yourself on fire.

The CF is distasteful (okay, I thought it was cool when I was 17-22 and surrounded by Seattle hippies and Al Sharpton types because it pissed them off). There are a few rednecks here who fly it on their brown lawns amongst the cars on blocks or on their $25,000, 12 mpg truck they put gas in with bartered food stamp money. That said, it's their right. It ain't on private property and there are bigger issues in the world. Same goes for a cemetery with a 90 year old monument. Wgaf?
