40-49I've said it before and I'll say it again... anyone who is a HHB and under 35 is a goddamned saint.
Mazel Tov to all of you out there.
Why the fuck do you like Husky football, tho? -
30-39
I'm 34, turned 11 just before the Dawgs completed their anti owen12, went to a few of the games that year (and 90) and I was absolutely hooked.Dennis_DeYoung said:I've said it before and I'll say it again... anyone who is a HHB and under 35 is a goddamned saint.

Honestly, UW football was good to very good with spikes of great basically my whole life until I was 22, why wouldn't I have gotten into it?
I think your cutoff point is way too high. I'd say anyone under 25 for sure. Maybe 28. -
I was 12 when we won the Rose Bowl. Peak of Husky football in my lifetime. FMFYFE.

I'm 7 in Cuog years.

30-39I was 16 when we won the Rose Bowl, and before that we were good enough for me to get hooked.

20-29My mother placed me in a dumpster outside of husky stadium the fall of 87. One of my dad's was a drunk UW med student and found me wailing in tune to the siren and decided to take me home to dad #2 as a graduation gift.
I was told Husky football saved my life, but now I wish I was left in the trash. -

atleast they accepted the points you already had. subway is phasing that program out and you could have been stuck with no reward at all. you still should have punched the kid working though.SpoonieLuv said:

I ask myself that all the time. I contemplate giving it up every year, but I probably never will. I like Husky Football because some of my earliest childhood memories where when UW was at their peak. I have a picture of me at a game from the '91 season. I was four. It was something I bonded with my two dads over and it's stuck ever since. I would read the media guides and memorize the whole team. It has played a role in my miserable and pathetic life ever since. Other hobbies have come and gone, but Husky Football stuck.Dennis_DeYoung said:I've said it before and I'll say it again... anyone who is a HHB and under 35 is a goddamned saint.

My folks brought me home from the hospital the day of the '78 rosebowl. Therefore, this list is accurate for me too.Dennis_DeYoung said:

The one thing I would add is wondering as a kid, "why don't the people on teevee ever talk about vancouver/washington?". I got a case of the civic pride (not the 75k kind) very early in life. -

Funny reading about the 1991 babies. I was four in 1960 when the Huskies won their first national championship. (fuck off)
My folks went to the Rose Bowl and left me home. I watched the 1964 Rose Bowl loss on the couch between my two dads. Then we sucked for 12 years.
That's why the recently retired Don James means so much to our generation -

I remember getting to UW and being shocked that the local news was actually about the place where I lived.
