cbssports.com/collegefootball/hotseat

He also thinks that Helfrich has the most secure Job in the Pac-12.

Leach makes sense, he has basically a lifetime contract at WSU so long as he doesn't throw a kid with a concussion into a closet. If Sark's seat isn't red hot after losing 3 or 4 games this year, then Pat Haden has given up.

leach is rated a "1" because a change is unlikely, wsu doesnt have the $$$ to buy out his contract and get another HC on staff.

he's going to be there for a while.

how in the fuck is kevin sumlin a 1 as well? i thought atm cared about football?

    Power Rankings for D.A.O.:
    1. McIntyre - fired at the end of this season
    2. Sark - fired before end of 2016 season
    3. Dykes - No bowl in 2015, probably will be fired by end of 2016. They might be too broke to fire him.
    4. Wittingham - I think he's a pretty good coach, but he seems to be in Harbaugh or Thibodeau territory. His bosses don't like him and his assistants bailed on him.

No one has ever gotten more out of once tying for a conference division 1st place finish and not even being the representative in the conference championship game than Leach. That was 2008.

Micantire ain't going anywhere. Whenever I feel bad about Washimg tons plummet, I think about Colorado and feel much better.

Rich Rod skates around this territory.

All he has ever done is ride Pat White to a 1st place ranking before choking against Pittsburgh.

I like that Dood thinks Leach going 3-9 in Year 3 is considered a good year for Wazzu and that he's still untouchable as HC.

McIntyre is like 6 -30 at Colorado. Not sure how much longer they can keep him.

I think he's an okay coach given what he did at SJSU, but Colorado is dead.

McIntyre made a top 3 fucktarded coaching move against UW in 2013. It was all I needed to see. He's a bad coach. Not Embree bad, but still really bad.

He also really fucked up the Cal game last year. I think he blew a 3TD lead then he botched a potentially game winning drive and had a huge meltdown on the sidelines. It was pretty glorious.

Yeah, he comes off as a whiny brat on the sidelines, it's fun to watch if you aren't a Colorado fan.

I remember at the end of a half in some game, Sefo made a boneheaded clock decision towards the goalline and it cost them points and he just went crazy. It was hilarious.

I enjoyed seeing that Richt is somehow more safe going into this year than he was last year ... particularly with Les Miles being more on the hot seat than Richt.

Sark's seat substantially safer? Let's see how a 7-5 or 8-4 season goes over in LA ...

There's no reason at all for Petersen to be anywhere close to the hot seat ... clearly Dodd doesn't know the damage that Seven caused.

Leech has a lifetime until Bull Moose retires and/or the university president croaks.

Helfrich has the highest expectations and a boss who cares a lot about winning. He has the hottest seat for that reason. Not because of results so far, but because he can't slip

Which one of you is stuz? He is dialed in.
    stuz

I have to wonder about the Peterson/Leach differential as well. What is it with Washington State fans, that they don't care about winning and a defense that let's the other team run all over the field, as long as WSU pumps up some meaningless stats?

nwruss, a solid effort, but the bolded part is inexcusable.
    nwruss1

You really think Chris Peterson is on a hotter seat than Mike Leach? I probably know less than you, so can you please explain? Peterson has only been at UW for one year, whereas Leach has been at WSU for 3. The only bowl game Leach has been to was lost due to complete foolishness on the play calling. Leach also doesn't make a lot of friends when he's dropping F bombs on camera in front of major boosters. He might be a good football mind, and he's recruited well, but he's a terrible face of the program. Yeah Peterson had a rough first year, but it's just one year for a guy who was widely considered to be 'can't miss'.

Please share why Peterson got a 2 and Leach a 1?

    Other notable quotables:
    onewoodwhacker

WSU's Mike Leach and his 3yr 12-25 record is SAFER than UW's Chris Peterson and his 1yr 8-6 record? REALLY?
    Hockey Fan LA

You can bet Sark will be on the hot seat if USC does not win the PAC-12 south and make a major bowl/playoff. SC has huge expectations..........

Personally I don't see SC getting past UCLA this season, so Sark better start updating his resume.

Also, this appears to be the same article as the one posted in August 2014, so the comments from last year are still around as well:
    Teres Minor Aug 21, 2014

When Michigan wins the Big Ten this year, Brady Hoke's imaginary number will be "0."
    fracro3 Aug 21, 2014

June Jones is safe at SMU?

    and my personal favorite:
    HarmonB Aug 21, 2014

Will be kinda fund to watch urban squirm his way to a 7 or 8 win season this year. and then all of a sudden become "ill" and need to spend time with his family. LOL
