Good first half. Irving looks a lot better, which the Cavs need. They weathered Golden State's run as well.
Cavs are tough and better than they get credit for. Love to Thompson isn't much of a drop off, although Love's shooting is missed when the Cavs go small. -
Early observations:
Even though Curry won MVP, it's clear that LeBron is the best player on the court at all times. To be honest, not a huge difference between Curry and Kyrie. Kyrie at 100% is not far off from Steph.
Bogut is kinda of a bum. I've always been a fan of his, but he looks overmatched by the Cavs big men. He can't control rebounds and his best bet has been tipping the ball out.
Warriors have no answer for Tristan Thompson on the glass. Guy is one of the best offensive rebounding big men I've ever seen.
Why does Draymond Green shoot 3's. Hate to say it, but he's not much better, if not worst than Josh Smith at them. -
Those are pretty big overreactions.NeedleInTheSky88 said:Early observations:

Some are, some aren't. The Bogut one probably is. Although I don't think there is a huge difference between Bogut and Ezeli and Speights.RoadDawg55 said:

My other main observation that I forgot to write about was how much the Cavs are utilizing LeBron in the post. He isn't handling the ball much in the pick and rolls. Most of hits buckets are from post ups.
-
Agree on some. Bogut is better than the other two though. He's a good passer, better defender, and a smarter player. Speights is all offense. He looks great sometimes and other times he sucks. I agree Green isn't the best shooter, but he has to take open 3's to make the defense respect it. He does so much for the Warriors that you need to give him some slack.NeedleInTheSky88 said:

LeBron is LeBron. Best player in the game for some time now. At times, Curry is so dominant offensively that it's close though.
One of the biggest differences is how much better Golden State's bench is. Just a deeper team. -
LeBron is chopping
-
Dubs have no answer for LeBron on the block. They may want to think about putting Green on LeBron. LeBron is backing down with 4 or 5 dribbles until he is a few feet from the hoop.
-
Warriors forgetting they have the MVP on their team. Last few possessions have been horrible for gs.
At least Cavs "get it." They just iso LeBron every time. -
Jordan and Kobe end that game in regulation.
-
Well that didn't take long for Kyrie to get hurt. I think this is like his third or fourth injury/re-aggrevation of these playoffs.
-
Great game, this bar is insufferable though. Tech noids everywhere. More missed high fives than cav fgs to close out the game.
The sportsman hates to see kyrie leave like that. He held his own against Curry and that block could have gone down as an iconic play had they left with the win. -

Yes i have. Looking back at it, all are true except for my point on Bogut.PurpleThrobber said:

Bannon,
Maybe an overreaction, but that sure seemed like a pretty good game by Cleveland and they still lost. And Kyrie limped off.
Night night. -
Lebron running iso circa 2007 cavs lol
-
This game had just about everything go the Cavs way that they could ask for in regulation to steal the game and make a lengthy series.
Most will fixate on LBJ's numbers and suck him off. But between LBJ and Irving, they scored 67 of the Cavs 100 points. Throw in 16 from Mozgov and you realize quickly what the defensive strategy was for GS. Now you take Irving out of the picture ...
LBJ will probably average 40+ in this series and it won't matter at all. GS will continue to eliminate the contributions of the role players who are helpless in this series w/o LBJ creating for them and there is zero evidence that GS will change their defensive strategies -
Overreaction - check
Ballbag with the obvious Race call out - check
Warriors win - check
Of course the Cavs are better with Irving (cool block on Curry at the end of reg.) but they aren't better with will he or won't he play wounded Irving. Pros like routine and certainty.
Put him back in street clothes and let the others know its on them and its the best shot for the Cavs this year. My man J R Smith is due to light it up.
I haven 't actually watched the game but I will this weekend with a fresh bowl and a big red cup. It was closer than I thought. Game 1 is usually a big momentum blow out for the heaves favorite at home. Stay tuned -

LeBron was great, but giving it to him every time isn't as sustainable as what Golden State does. Harden did the same thing last series and when he did, the games were close. Neither Curry nor Thompson even went off. TSIO. Cavs are good though. It's a shame they aren't at full strength.

No lead is safe against Golden State and your lead can disappear fast. They are tough. No doubt about itRoadDawg55 said:LeBron was great, but giving it to him every time isn't as sustainable as what Golden State does. Kyrie fractured his knee cap. Done for series.
