This fake UCLA fan is annoying me.BallSacked said:Tough call for Peterson if Browning continues to improve through August. He doesn't seem that far away from the level where KJ and Lindy are playing in spring.
If Pete Carroll was the coach at UW, I think he'd go with Browning. He went with Barkley over Corp and Mitch Mustain, because he wasn't that much worse than those two and he had more potential. -

If he isn't physically ready to stand behind a new OL, then he's also probably not the best person for the job.

I'm pretty bullish on our OL for this season. Another year with in the new system and with real coaching will do wonders. Riva was our one true difference maker...and he barely played last year. So what did we really lose? Nothing irreplaceable.RoadDawg55 said:
I never know of you're serious. You're saving him from possibly getting the shit kicked out of him behind a green OL. QB's are never the same when that happens.sarktastic said:
What in the hell are we saving him for... The NFL?jecornel said:REDSHIRT.....bite the bullet pete
But of course 2017 is going to be special so yeah lets just put him behind the glass until then. -
I hope you're right. I agree that we didn't lose much on the OL from last year, but the likely starters this year couldn't beat those guys out. I will be bullish on the OL when I see them doing well.FremontTroll said:

Eldrenkamp, Tufunga, and Coleman Shelton don't really inspire me into thinking the OL will be very good despite the upgrade in coaching. -
2 words: Jake Plummer. Now end this bullshit discussion. And Plummer didnt have spring ball to acclimate.

Sure but Tufunga and Shelton started for much of the season due to injuries. So instead of the one returning starter that it looked like we would have before Kohler's medical retirement, Riva's myriad injuries, and Charles' issues we really have three. So my prediction of actual improvement is based both on the disappointing performance last year (2014 was supposed to be really special) and the increased snaps that Tufunga and Shelton benefited from.RoadDawg55 said:

Add in Brostek coming off a redshirt and Crane stepping up and we actually have a serious competition going on for the inside spots.
It all hinges on Eldrenkamp at tackle. If he is halfway decent the line could be very good. Obviously that is a huge IF. But my prediction is the line will actually be a little bit better than last year. Then again a little bit better in 2016. And obviously special in 2017. -
To be fair, Coleman Shelton 2015 > 2014 and we never really got center right in 2014 so Tufunga could actually be an upgrade there. Could RS-JR Brostek match what we got from RG last year? Probably.
Dex Charles is back at LG (30 career starts now) so it's LT that's probably the biggest question mark. On a scale of 1-10, I'd probably give Hatchie a 4 in 2014 so can Eldrenkamp at least match that?
I think we're deeper and better at TE than in 2014 but don't know if any of them are good at pass blocking in case we need to keep a TE in to help the OTs against better pass-rushing teams (likely Eldrenkamp and Shelton).
But ultimately who knows if Browning will be ready...he's really in the spring semester of his high school senior year so in another 4 months on Montlake, he could get stronger with machine weights / chocolate milk...enough to put on 10 pounds by mid August.RoadDawg55 said:
