Agreed. Facilities seem to be the go-to move for an embattled coach. You don't hear people complaining about facilities when there is success.Tequilla said:

@Tequilla read your last 2 post. The first defends the facilities at Butler and Wichita State, your second states that facilitates don't really matter. Which is it. Do facilities matter or not. IMO, @FreeChavez is absolutely correct. It's a BS excuse played by a failing coach.

Facilities matter, but they are also overrated.
Everybody wants to have a really good place to get their work in and improve.
That being said, a gym is a gym, a hoop is a hoop, and a court is a court.
When you think about the fact that most people grow up playing hoops outdoor (and many prefer to do that) then how special the gyms are shouldn't be as much of an issue.
If you look at NBA practice facilities as an example, how much of it is driven off the quality of the court (which almost all high-end players have a court in their own house) as much as it is the amenities that are included in the complex (most notably being the support staff)? That's the stuff that stands out IMO. -
Facilities matter. Anyone who says different is delusional.
But they don't matter as much as having a good coach and talented players.
They're slightly more important than uniform combinations and how loud the Dawgpack is. -
Win and finding money for new facilities becomes significantly easier. Sarks a POS but at least he won enough games to get people to open their wallets. It's like Woody learned nothing from the Tyrone disaster and needs to watch the program hemorrhage money and become irrelevant before he'll sack up and do what should have been done a couple years ago.

If you aren't feeling tight shooting 3s you won't at the line. Idgaf what any of yall say.
