I said that about locker b/c he stayed in school, finished his degree, made an incredible amount of connections in the community, still had the ability to play baseball and get paid while doing it, and yes, has never been in trouble on or off the field, hasn't had any substance abuse problems we have been aware of, and overall has been a good person in all the communities he has lived in. It has nothing to do with his color.
There is something to be said for someone finishing school, having a brain, and not getting into trouble. If you can't understand how being a QB from UW with all the $ boosters who are in this community could be a resource for a player after football I don't know how to help you. He is well spoken enough to do broadcasting, possibly get into coaching or tap any number of resources available without getting his brains beat in. -

I guess I'm burying myself for not sucking off a mediocre QB. Locker did nothing other than be a good athlete that was picked 8th. Disappointing college and pro careers and quit once he wasn't guaranteed a starting job. Oh, but he's a great guy who represented the community well and he has money. Let's praise on the guy for having the courage to retire.
