Oregon does win the north rather easily even with a loss or two as long as one is to a south team. The problem with the south winning it all is the lack of big game coaching ability there. Yes we like to pick on Helfrich but he at least has won a couple of major bowl games and one title game in the Pac. Rich Rod and his Mildcats shit the bed like a Husky team when it counted. UCLA has some strange phobia with Oregon. Mora's inability to even come close is disturbing. Graham is at ASU, nuff said about that. and USC has Sark.greenblood said:

Adams graduates from EWU on June 13 and will be in Eugene on June 14. There are those who think that Oregon's DL will actually be *better* next year, and that the OL should be about the same given that we play the OL in platoon fashion. I have lots of confidence in our line coaches, either way. Adams gives me confidence that Oregon will have a QB capable of managing the game next fall, and who will be able to distribute the ball to the very talented players in the backfield. -
Disagree with your take on Stanford. Cajuste and Rector are pretty good. This incoming white WR Trent Irwin is going to be a pain in everyone's ass - watch. BSRYK. I also think Ed McCaffery's son is going to be all-conf level RB at Stanford. He's got size and quickness. Moreover I really like the RB they got out of Portland. - Warshington is actually serious about football and has a good coach
- Kelly is gone and the replacement is coasting off of his success.
Peterman had a very mixed first year at UW. I guess the argument is that he kind of wrote off year one as rebuilding, but I don't understand the logic that goes into that.
I haven't seen any significant indicators of regression by Helfrich.
Washington in reality is a bottom level football program. You don't change that in a year.
Where I have always differed from doogs is that I think we need to see something really good this year and a real program by year 3. But year 1 is a throw away. Change the culture and all that -

If I were a duck fan I'd point out that Oregon could beat Washington with Cyler Miles as their quarterback
Cyler Miles would be a nice one-liner, but I think everybody knows Cyler Miles is horrible, and he'd individually give UW a "punchers chance" next year if he played for Oregon. Miles will be the 11th best starter in the Pac 12 going into next year, with a small edge over whoever OSU decides to start. -
I would say the Broons phobia is with Stanford. For some inexplicable reason they look worse than the doogs troojs or soon doovils do vs the Trees. And we have to play those guys every year.

I watched the 2013 Arizona game pretty closely. That's a sign. That AZ QB with the MILF mom, Decker or Denker or whatever his name was was not skilled at passing (to his credit, Rodriguez developed him as much as he could and play called to hus strengths) and they still won big. There's no way in hell Kelly loses a game to a 7-5 team by that margin. IIRC, the Ducks were down about 21 to Stanfurd the same yr before making it interesting.AZDuck said:
