As usually, o/u 5 games until VA is cut in half and AZQuook makes another "Doogasm in full effect, I see" post.
Best part is, this poast is completely accurate because UO probably still beats UW and the Cuogs without Adams, and probably finishes with better overall record as well.
1) Lockie and Morgan M. must suck (or...wait for it...need more time).
2) It could be a win-win for both VA and Oregon or something happens to VA during season (he missed 4 games with injury last year and is prone to cramping) but Oregon at least has those games to give their other QBs more in-season development.
3) It would suck big wang for VA to not win the job but he must have felt he needed to take a step up to get more attention from NFL scouts.
4) UCLA must have gotten involved too late since he's from Pasadena and they return everyone except their previous starting QB.
5) More than anything, this helps Oregon because they get more competition at the QB spot and if VA gets hurt, they'll simply turn to the other QBs they had on the roster before VA joined them.
6) It will be interesting to see how Oregon's offense changes and regardless, it should be easier to defend than Mariota running it. Even on the read-option, scrape exchanges should be more successful since an OLB attacking Mariota was mostly futile since Mariota was 6'4" 215 lbs with 4.4 wheels while Adams is 5'11", a buck ninety, and more like a 4.5 or 4.6 guy.
7) At least point, it's still hard not to see Oregon favored by double digits @ Husky Stadium in 2015 (even accounting for a 4 point boost due to Husky Stadium noise / playing on the road).
HFNY - I am not sure how hard UCLA went after VA either. One thing I think is an impact, I don't believe VA graduates until after spring quarter form EWU. So he wont get to participate in Spring Ball wherever he went and will only have a Summer/Fall to win the job.
At oregon - I get the feeling Mahalak and the other mop up guy aren't starter quality, while Josh Rosen at UCLA is the most hyped athlete UCLA has signed since Kevin Love and would likely get the lion share of snaps in Spring (yes RD55 I am aware of your talking point on HS QBs). VA wants to play, I think it's an easier path at Oregon. He's arguably a better fit in the Oregon offense as well.

Good get, should be interesting to see how he does in that offense.
"Beat Oregon, nothing else matters"
Yup.

I'm curious to see how they use him. I don't think he'll be a real effective runner...at least not for very long.
