Every time the ball was thrown to Kearse

He should start a "Lasik for UW wide receivers" fund. I thought he'd never cut it in the pros due to his hands, but he is money now.
-
Also, I don't remember Doog Baldwin when he was at Stanford, was he any good in college?
-
He's kind of the Flacco of wide receivers. He's really not special in the regular season, but he keeps coming up big in the playoffs.
-
But how was sark terrible at player development?
-
I think I remember him pawning Ty's little heroes during Suddenly Senior.Muttzen said:Also, I don't remember Doog Baldwin when he was at Stanford, was he any good in college?

Kearse and Baldwin are 3 and 4 receivers on a team that passes first. They are system guys and work well here. Kearse flounders anywhere else
-
As a former UW WR great, I think you should sit this one outMelloDawg said:Kearse and Baldwin are 3 and 4 receivers on a team that passes first. They are system guys and work well here. Kearse flounders anywhere else

Every time he catches a pass = UW in the house

Disagree. Baldwin is serviceable. Kearse is discardable once Richardson and Norwood developSonnyShackelford said: -
If you don't realize how critical of a piece of this team Kearse is, you need to fucking DIAFF

He's going to be the third wide receiver next year, and that's if they don't add anybody. He could easily be fourth.Tequilla said:If you don't realize how critical of a piece of this team Kearse is, you need to fucking DIAFF
He's not anything close to critical. They played just fine when he was hurt.

Critical piece of THIS team. Any other team? Meh...Tequilla said:If you don't realize how critical of a piece of this team Kearse is, you need to fucking DIAFF
Run first team = need for only average WRs -
I agree that Kearse is a #3 or #4 WR, but those guys put up much better stats on pass first teams. The argument fits both ways.MelloDawg said:

I'm not worried about Kearse on OTHER teams, worried about Kearse on THIS team.MelloDawg said:

The reality is that he makes big plays for this team in the biggest games.
Moreover, Kearse is a great fit on this team as not only does he have talent as a WR, but he does the hidden things that are required on this team.
He's probably miscast as a #2 WR on this team as a #3 or #4 WR is the best fit for him. But again, he's a MASSIVE component of this roster. He will be in whatever role he plays. -
QB WR chemistry is a big deal, and Wilson gives him the trust usually garnered for a #1 or 2 receiver. I think that counts for a lot considering Wilson is about to be one of the highest paid QBs in the league and in Seattle for the next ten years.
Kearse makes plays, always seems to get open, and has a highly respected QB that believes in him to produce on the 50-50 ball (which he does)
Bunch of stopwatch fake scouts on this bored if you think he isn't a major piece to the offense. -
He's done some good things but is replaceable. I clearly remember the announcers speculating as to whether he would even make the team in the 2013 preseason. Granted they had Tate and Rice back then, and an injured Harvin.
-
Obvious troll is obvious.
-
Everyone is replaceable. Some more easily than others.
But Kearse is a blocking motherfucker, and he gets open when Russ starts running around. Plus, he's pretty much a vacuum - he rarely drops a ball that gets close to him. He fits into the scheme, brings a good work ethic, and doesn't hurt too much on the cap.
Plus he's a Husky so.................. -
Kearse is a blocker because he has to be. Put him in an offense where he has to be largely a receiver and, well, results are easily predictable.

The Sounders fucking SUCK and the MLS might as well be a high school league.

Kearae would be a good 3rd wr by league standards.
Baldwin is just as good as any of these other slot guys that put up huge numbers. Never going to have the volume of passes though. -
Exactly. So he's not a legitimate 1st WR.AtomicDawg said:Kearae would be a good 3rd wr by league standards.

Case closed. Soccer wins. -

In our program he is.MelloDawg said:
Golden Tate took his legit ass to Detroit, and the Hawks keep rolling along with Kearse and Baldwin. At a half mil toward the cap, he's a bargain.
So take your 8-15 million dollar a year "legitimate 1st WR" and get the fuck out. Don't need that guy here. We need that coin for guys like KJ Wright and Cliff Avril and we're going to need lots of it for Russ. Kearse is doing just fine and soccer is just as lame as it was before this thread started.
