I don't mean to interject into this fap contest .... but won't the froogs be able to recruit better moving to the B12? In theory, that should help them keep up w/ the Jones', no?

    @RoadDawg55‌

And at what point did Don James EVER lay this big of an egg in a bowl game?

This game is a downright embarrassment for Oklahoma Football.

12,10,10,11 wins the last four seasons for Oklahoma. As a TCU fan, you should hope and pray to have that kind of run.
    TCU had a stretch from '08 to '11 of 11, 12, 13, and 11 wins.

    In the 13 years from '02 to '14, Patterson's won 10+ games 9 of those 13 years.

I'm perfectly happy with my coach. He's faced some adversity and responded in spades.

I also fully expect that it will be 10 out of 14 years next year since they bring just about everybody back.
Except stoops did that in an actual conference
That wasn't part of the original comment from RD ... he made a fucktarded comment, got called on it, and now is trying to play the "play in a real conference" attribute to it. Talk about moving the goal posts.
You're an idiot and outdid Aubbie this year when it came to moving goalposts. Obviously I meant you better hope and pray TCU can match that kind of success in the Big 12. I think everyone but you understood that.
How did I move the goal posts?

I said that the over/under for wins for this team this year was 10.5 and said that I'd be optimistic and go with 11 wins. I thought 12 was realistic if everything went perfectly.

The base assumption that I had was that we'd get competent QB play at the Price level to slightly better. That clearly didn't play out.

Get QB play at that level and we win the Stanford game, win the Arizona game, and probably win the ASU game. There's your 11 wins.

If I moved the goal posts (as you say), it's because there's nothing that really surprised me this year outside of the QB play - which wasn't good enough for most of the season. The biggest difference between me and many others was that I wasn't as quick to throw the QB problems on the current coaching staff as others wanted to. If moving the goal posts is understanding the difference between what I thought was possible versus what happened and not wanting to get the pitch fork out as a result, then I'm guilty. But it's not moving the goal posts to understand what happened and then understand where reality and your baseline assumptions diverged from each other.

Sure, in hindsight I would have preferred to put us at 9 or 10 wins. But I thought that this team had 11 win talent and I think the results this year proved that to be the case. 8-5 was about as bad as this year could have gone. I'm still very bullish about what I'm seeing out of this program and the implications going forward.
You don't need to post this for the 23rd time.
If you're going to call me out for moving the goal posts without saying exactly where I've moved the goal posts (particularly when as you just noted that I've stated my position 23x), then you're just flapping your gums with sound and fury with nothing to substantiate it with.

I don't really care if you disagree with me. If you give me data points to reconsider, I'm more than happy to revisit my position (as I've done earlier today in my view of Callier). But if you're going to run your mouth and then resort to deflecting when you get called on it, then I'll post shit for a 24th time ...

Either that or offer you the opportunity to take off the gloves ...

    Your call.

Probably a very similar situation to what we're seeing with Petersen here.

Looks like TCU is in the final 2 for a DT prospect that is a Top 10 national player ...

From what I can tell of their recruiting this year is that it's standard Patterson ... get some guys that are fairly sound that will fit with what they want. They recently turned a DT prospect that had been committed to South Carolina and he's their future Center ... which is the exact same blueprint that was used for their current center.
