When Washington does something to earn it, then maybe. Outside of hiring peterman, uw has been a patsy for the last 11 years. Washington's blunders in a large way helped propel oregon to its current state, which is a uw problem. See, I think it went both ways. His record was fine (or really good), but the guy is obviously abrasive and stubborn. Sure, other really good coaches have had similar personality traits and have butted heads with management. It does happen sometimes. I don't know if the hire will work out, but it's as good of hire as Michigan could have possible dreamed of. Jim Harbaugh is at minimum a top 10 coach in all of football. He's been a winner everywhere he's been. His teams are always tough and you know he's going to recruit very well at Michigan.
I don't normally give a shit about Michigan, but I do like the idea of igniting the Ohio State rivalry. It's good for college football and the dreckfest Big 10. -

Maybe the niners forgot they got to the playoffs via defense and Colin wasn't the main cog. Instead they loaded Colin's contract and watched as he showed that he isn't a premier qb. Harbaugh was/is a douche but he wins which I bueve is the poont of playing. Not being besties with all the players.
