Aaron Young, WR, Duke commit

This Dawg Report handle comes up with kids I've never heard of before, and I TBS fairly regularly.

24/7 shows him as a Duke commit but Crystal Ball lock for UW.

Watching the first half of his Hudl, big receiver. He doesn't look terribly fast, but then in open field he's pulling away from everyone. Most of the the time double covered.

The Scout DB lists him without a UW offer. We could use a big receiver in this class since we lose Kasen and Campbell.

With Castile possibly coming here along woth Renfro, Chico, and Baccelia I'm not sure we need another wr. That's getting into Neuheisal territory

I remember calling into kjr (when I used to do that shit) after neuheisel's class that included 7 WRs and 1 OL. My frustration had boiled over because the doogman guys were lauding the class for its "speed."

Sure, a class of all WRs will certainly be the fastest class in the country. Well done.

Renfro is the only one of that group who is over 6 feet tall. Definitely need another big bodied receiver to block on all the bubble screens.

You can teach a guy to get faster ... you can't teach him how to be taller.

He's got a great catch radius and what is impressive is that he appears to be as adept at going up for the ball as he is going down to the ground.

eh, you can't really get them that much faster. any sophisticated sprint coach will tell you ... the envelope is the envelope. explosiveness and flexibility and form and all that shit can be worked on, plyos help but all that shit only works on the margin.

IOW, no matter what he did, Michael Irvin was never going to be faster than Deion Sanders. But he didn't have to be.

So this kid needs to just continue developing hands and learning how to be a big receiver. How to use his body, run routes, etc. Watch lots of tape of Harold Carmichael and Michael Irvin. Not Calvin Johnson, because he's actually fast.
