Really good coach, but total douchebag

You have to make some effort to compromise and get along with your co-workers in any job.

The 49ers problem is their QB and not their coach.

Harbaugh is a great coach. Even contemplating this is absurd.
otoh everyone hated Parcells too, perhaps it's just the way it is with Harbaugh

    He's around 50. I'll say it.

    Pressing.

Don James was in his late 50s when he revamped both his offense and his defense.

Don James didn't change his personality. Harbaugh is who he is... abrasive. This won't change about him and it doesn't have to. People working in an NFL organization need to have thick skins. It's not a game for a bunch of pussies, from the owner, to the GM, all the way down to the punter.

I don't think it is. It's a personality thing. Sure, maybe some of it is on the 49er mgmt. end as well. Therr are probably some millionaire 26 yr. olds who feel entitled in that locker room too

I remember Ditka going off on him ca. 1992 or so. Harbutt audibled and Ditka went off on him in the presser. That stuck with me, first as just a funny moment, but it fits in with what's been going on. All the silly shit Mitch and morons do with him and that team has at least some truth to it. It didn't just appear out of nothing.

I've read things in SI about him being a d-bag as a player. It was deceptive, disingenuous stuff. You can be an asshole, but if you're dishonest or inconsistent, or too egotistical, or just don't know when to pull back, people won't respect you.
