Memo to Jonathan Smith and Chris Petersen

Oregon film. Copy what they do. Anyone
who doesn't like watching their offense
isn't a football fan and can go die.

agree, but the Oregon offense is a philosophy that many don't embrace. we're soft and finesse and shit
-
I need to see a championship
-
Everyone with an offense plungers Oregon State's defense. They're finishing last in the #FuckingDreckfest that is the Pac-12 North for a reason.
#CanRiley -
Anyone who can't see they are the
best team with the best coaching
right now ain't looking very hard.
Good offense ain't about smashmouth,
it's about creating space. Oregon does
it better than anybody and no one else is
close. That's coaching. -
Auburn is pretty close
And 1-0 against Oregon -
Auburn wouldn't play within
20 points of Oregon this year.
Good luck to Bama if they make
it. They're gonna need it. -
Arizona is pretty close. And about to be 3-0 against Oregon.RaceBannon said:Auburn is pretty close

Every team is different every week. You wouldn't want to be playing Auburn tonight

Fucking Slingblade is looking
like Chip Kelly II. And those
rahtarded Duck fans wanted
him gone last year. -

Could be Chizik with Newton for all we know. -

Does anyone remember the coogs almost beat the ducks this year, if not for the refs?
And sark tried the Oregon offense last year, you remember that? Turns out we don't have mariotta or a fast offensive line. -
Rick made an interesting remark about the spread today on the Pac-12 show. Basically said it was for teams that can't recruit enough big beef.
In my opinion, their offense is fun to watch, but Oregon has always lost when it mattered most to teams like Auburn, Bama, and tOSU. I'd rather have an offense that can beat those teams... and not copy Oregon. -
Nick Saban is shaking in his boots.

It's why they have so many Nattys

I think our scheme has some issues, but the solution isn't always to copy Oregon. We have done that enough. No team that copies Oregon has ever beat them. The way to beat them is to have better lines and kick the shit out of them up front.
So the memo to Chris Petersen should be to recruit and develop a lot of bad motherfuckers on the OL and DL and get a great QB. -
I agree about the lines but Oregon has found
a way to win without dominant line play. Everyone
in the country is after the studs on the lines and only
the premium programs get a reasonable share of
them. It's the genius of Oregon's system. They win
without premium linemen. -
There is enough line talent out there that this excuse isn't valid. Either you can find guys who fit and develop them, or you get the fuck out. It's easier than successfully emulating Oregon.whuggy said:I agree about the lines but Oregon has found

I want to run the q card offense so that every play we can line up then, collectively as a team, stand up and look to the sideline to find out the play. Thats a really special kind of offense
-
Oregon's perimeter game relies on smaller corners, and exploiting that with speed/blocking is what opens everything else up for the rest of the their playbook. A major reason they lost to Arizona, imo, is because Arizona was the only team that could fight through the perimeter plays and get open-field stops near the sidelines. If/when they go up against Alabama and their physical, bigger corners, their playbook is going to get severely narrowed, forcing Mariota to beat them through the air or hoping Freeman can be successful in between the tackles.
That's not an amazing system for anything other than running through the dreck-filled p12. -
Fuck Oregon unless all you want is a Pac-12 championship and be "in" the Natty conversation.whuggy said:Get your offensive staff in a room. Put on

Chances are we will never win a national championship with Petersen. Anyone who wouldn't take Oregon's run from 2009 to now is lying or delusional.claycha said:

Look I don't know shit, I guess I'm just asking, is that the bar? It's a good place to be and goal to attain. Isn't there a bigger goal or is that a fantasy? Also Fuck Oregon.

Guess all we need to do is watch oregon film? Oregon wins because they are good on both lines, have size, speed and balance across the board, coaching continuity, elite athletes, national recruiting prowess and a heisman qb. They would dominate in a pro style system dipshit. Now pump yourself and hit the gate snuggywhuggy said:Get your offensive staff in a room. Put on

Bama will pound thy fudge up Oregons rectum. Mariota will see little time under center. They wont score every posession like they did vs us. If kiffin gets cute I might agree with you. Saban will not allow that however. Will be a killer gameWedgwoodDawg said:
