Tough to argue with much...I still see Mickens starting over Taylor and LT and NT remain to be seen but that's about it (IIRC, Turner projects as the future LG).

JC guys like NT Deontae Reynolds and SS Ezekiel Turner could challenge for starting jobs.

I'd like to get a JC Buck because Littleton may not be big enough for the position and who knows if Johnson will be ready.

I would really like someone (Johnson or a JC) to beat out Littleton at Buck. I like him as a LB. He's not really a factor as a pass rusher. Littleton, Bierria/Lawyer, and Feeney is a pretty good LB group.

I still haven't seen anything about McGary moving to OL yet. But no media has asked Petersen about him moving.

Also, backup running back will be Gaskin

On one hand I worry about our WRs going forward as until they prove otherwise we have a lot of JAGs at the position ... but it probably doesn't matter that much with Miles at QB. It just kind of is what it is.

By the time we get an actual throwing QB in place, I would expect we're going to need some better WRs. My guess would be that the WR position will be an area of emphasis in the 2016 recruiting class.

You are seriously lacking in a basic understanding of what the term "2 deep" means.

I'm interested to see if Ross stays at corner and if McGary is really moved to OL. Either way it will...

Kelly wasn't healthy long enough to show the same kind of improvement that the other new DBs showed. I still think he's the most talented of the cornerbacks provided he comes back fully healed from whatever his injury was.

The DL is going to lean on youngins but there are actually going to be a lot of personnel options, including a pretty serious jumbo package with Gaines/Vea, Qualls, and Dissly.

The only place I have seen this is on here. Have not heard a coach mention it at all. Do you have inside news on that or something? Gracias.

Mark this down, 2014 will be career highs for carries for Coleman in his career.

Disagree. He is an I Formation Back playing in a spread system. Needs to get bigger still. His speed will never be his best asset. Could really truck through some people with some more strength.

Should probably never be a feature back but definitely has a role.

Well we're not going to be playing the i formation anytime soon.

He'll be our third best back next year at best. I bet he gets passed by a couple of the frosh and be like 5th on the depth. He'll transfer to San Jose State before 2016.

I'm not a big Coleman fan, but I don't think he is terrible either. He's played well in spurts.

Coleman looks good when plays are well blocked and he's able to hit the hole with momentum. But he just doesn't seem to have quick enough feet to create something out of nothing.

    I like Dwayne Washington.

I haven't even heard how McGary has performed this year on the Scout team. What makes you think: A) he is ready to be a starter; and B) he is now playing offense?

He's averaging 3.7 yards per carry against FBS opponents.

    He's not good.

Good points though if it's true he made the switch a few weeks ago, I'm happy about it.

When I was salivating over his TB highlights in 2013 and early 2014, my untrained eye told me he didn't have the quick-twitch ability that non-zero / 1 techs need.

OTOH, I really liked what I saw out of him as a OL and he's could be a future NFL OT (just like Atoe!!1!@ !1!!!).

I thought, though, that Eldrenkamp was the heir-apparent at LT as a RS-JR in 2015 but maybe McGary will beat him out.

If it's true that McGary switched, it sounds like Eldrenkamp, McGary, and Matt James (most likely needs another year in the weight room) will battle for the LT spot and then one of those beaten out will back-up Coleman Shelton at RT next year (who just wasn't ready to play as a RS-Frosh this year, kind of like Matt James will be in 2015).

I'm not a huge Coleman fan. I've always liked Washington better, but Coleman is a freshman with a small sample size. The running game was bad the first few games of Pac 12 play. Now, it's getting better. First Shaq and Cooper ran well, now Washington is doing better. I'm sure the OL blocking better has something to do with that. Coleman ran well last week.

He very well could get passed by a freshman next year, but he could also end up being a solid contributor at RB. In a good program, players normally get better.
