An 8 team playoff will only add to the mayhem.

By the looks of the selection process now, you'd have hot 3 loss teams with tough schedules jump 1 loss teams.

Get a 24-team playoff and run it like D1-AA football does... Top 8 get a bye... Play home games until you hit the major bowls...

That tourney would blow away march madness.

I'm beginning to miss the two team playoff. So much fucking dreck in CFB this year.

I miss having a bunch of great games on 1/1, having it be over, and the next day find out who the NC champion is. Really, who gives a fuck? It was more fun for me the old way. This is just a fucking mess that is the worst of all worlds.

Oh gee, people argued about it, big fucking deal. It was fun as hell.
Not to mention they are depriving us declaring retroactive national championships 50 years after the last person who gave a fuck died.

    And sell commemorative jerseys.

    fUCKING SKANSI!!!!
What a great day. Ron Cookie "Fucking" Jackson and when it was announced USC beat UCLA the place went nuts for the rest of the game. Fuck. I miss husky football and college football for that matter. It will never be the same. If that happened today after we found out about USC/Ucla they would put some fucking stupid shit with a fat asian chick on the screen and kill the mood.
The late Wendell Broyles, the stadium announcer, would fuck with us too in a fun way. He would know that Husky fans were desperate to hear that USC beat UCLA so we could go to the Rose Bowl. So he'd do this...

"THE SCORE COMING OUT OF LOS ANGELES...... WITH 3:52 LEFT TO PLAY...... UCLA 17......... ................... USC 20..." (Husky Stadium crowd goes crazy)

Then Ohio State should be ahead of Oregon. Winning at Michigan State is better. Bama and TCU have better conference wins. The pac 12 sucks. Winning at LSU is better than winning at Utah. Bama lost on the road to a top 5 team at the time. Oregon lost at home to a shitty team.

Bama plays Mississippi state and Auburn while Oregon plays Colorado and the Beavs

    They jump Oregon rather easily

And Virginia Tech is a powerhouse

If they take injuries into account for Oregon losing an OL, then they should take into account Ohio State losing a Heisman front-runner QB.

Imagine if Oregon played only 2 games with Mariota this year. That's what Ohio State is going through this season.
The difference is, Oregon got their injured player back and improved because of it. Ohio St. lost their guy during the off season, and he won't be back until next season. Lets also not forget he had about a month of practice before the season started and he also had three prior non-conference games. It's not like he was thrown to the wolves.

Taking account injuries is used to justify a loss that otherwise wouldn't happen now that the team is at full strength. Ohio State has the same QB that lost to Virginia Tech. You can't use that argument for Ohio St. when the same quarterback would be playing in the playoffs. Sorry but not the same thing.
    Way to Quook on.

But you're wrong on 2 counts.

So by your rationale, Oregon losing an O lineman was somehow more of a factor than tOSU losing their Heisman QB candidate. Whew!!!

You're also assuming that with your Olineman back, it's an automatic victory against a team that has torched your asses 2 years in a row.

There is no evidence of that since they plungered you last year at their house and beat you soundly despite the score, in your house this year.

The fact that Oregon is ranked #2 above at least 3 teams that would plunger them on a neutral field shows that this new playoff selection process will be a shit show in the end.

But miller wouldn't play in the playoff. The OSU team against vt is the same roster. They also lost by 2 fucking touchdowns, while Oregon lost by one score to a top 20 team. This argument isn't about oregon being#2 its about should oregon be in the top 4 over OSU. And as of right now saying otherwise makes you a complete fucktard.

I'm not saying fisher is more important than miller. What I'm saying is that Oregon is better now with him. Miller isn't coming back this year. If miller was coming back then you would have an argument about Ohio st. What if miller left early last year? Would Barrett still get a pass? That's the argument being raised as him being a frosh.

They were speculating on ESPN the other day that Ohio State's new quarterback might beat out Braxton Miller next season.
