Hot take: LSU and subsequently others step back on Williams. Washington doesn’t release him. Williams must return if he wants what’s owed. He probably wouldn’t, even if he does, Washington brings in another QB. Williams pouts or quits, Washington withholds payment for cause. Sue us. Williams loses 2026 and maybe gets a percentage of what he’s owed but loses millions and a chance at a top round contract. FAFO
