How Former Huskies Have Fared in NFL This Season

Thanks Taft!
DRFS trigger warning for those who participate. @Mad_Son

Cooper McDonald played in 15 games!?

That was a name I would've never guessed would be on the list.

Off this year’s team, Moore and Durfee are two guys I think play in the NFL for a few years and it will be surprise to most. Or they cut at a training camp. Either way it will be interesting.

Durfee needs to motor up. I can't remember a more lazy, non-impactful edge. If that's what Walters wanted out of him, that's exactly what he got.
What a disappointment.

Durf can hang the doog legend forever banner
Moore is expected by most to be given an opportunity I'd think

A lot of back up TE’s hardly did anything in college, just like Moore. I always felt we didn’t get all we could have out of him.
He could play. In 2022, he got a decent amount of snaps (pretty close to both Westover and Culp) and both those guys are in the NFL now. Moore is quite a bit bigger than both of those guys too.

Seems like it was a catastrophic injury season for Husky pros. I don't see it with Durfee. Watching highlights of the season I was surprised Durfee actually was able to get pressures more than I remember but he could never finish and he was really good and getting sucked up inside on read options.
Moore is interesting. He's a really good blocker but don't think he caught more than like 5 passes at UW. I think modern offenses want TEs to be better pass catchers.

If he's got the size and athleticism, that can be taught

I think there is a return to appreciating the blocking TE role, particularly with teams in the Baltimore, Seattle, Pittsburgh, SF vein. Seattle keeps a roster spot for a FB (Robbie Ouzts is a former TE) and a true blocking TE in Eric Saubert.
I could see Moore carving out a space for a few years and doing better than we expected. Kind of a Marcel Reece guy.
