I like Diver Down. There are some good ones on that album.

I think every serious Metallica fan waffles on the Black Album. Probably because we all hate that we fucking love it. It’s sonically amazing. I used to refuse to listen to Nothing else matters. Thought it was a pussy song. It almost brought me to tears last August in Seattle it was so good.

I used to fight an uphill battle with my fellow metal heads for years that Black Sabbath’s Heaven and Hell is easily top 3 in the WHOLE catalog and could be the best. I converted several people to it it’s that fucking good.

I’ll take Ten over vs but it’s not a hill I’m dying on

I always thought Pearl Jam's "Ten" was a fantastic record, and everything following that was hot garbage. I heard years later, I think it was from Xana La Fuente that most of the songs on Ten were originated from the late Andrew Wood. And then I was like, "Oh! okay that makes sense now."

I mostly agree, although VS and Vitalogy were good IMO but downhill from there

Here's another thing about that album - the tracks that weren't singles or videos are excellent ones and pretty metal; The God that Failed, Through the Never, Of Wolf and Man, Holier than Thou.
In recent times Spit out the Bone is probably my fave
