its gonna be whittingham, best of luck, blue
couple of things about utah the last few months:
- whittingham got pushed out, went to the school president, said 'give me one more year,' got told 'no'
- utah athletics is operating at a $50mm deficit, thats why they took the PE money. that school/fanbase is not prepared for what is going to come at them
- whittingham hasnt talked to the AD Harlan for 6 months
- new hoops coach hasnt talked to Harlan since he started, all comms with president randall
would be shocked if whittingham didnt have the job by the end of the weekend.

Lol. Utah.
Whittingham at Michigan is interesting. He's not a bad coach.

I get serious Mike Riley to Nebraska vibes. Long time winner at a smaller program stepping up at the end of his career to a bigger job that needed a course correction. We’ll see. I’ve heard Whittingham has been close to retirement for at least 5-6 years now. Why take on the mess at Michigan at 66?

Whittingham at Michigan could become a problem. He's a good coach who's never had elite talent. He develops players. Doesn't pork staffers.
I think he could go 10-2 at Michigan every year, rather easily.

Nebraska is a needle-dick program compared to Michigan, though. And Whittingham is a much better coach than Riley. Other than that…

Cam Rising still has a year of eligibility left.

Unless he beats Ohio State he’ll get fired. Harbaugh is a great coach, better than Whittingham and he needed to cheat bigly to win the way they wanted in Ann Arbor. Good luck Kyle, I’m feeling you’ll need it.

Temu DeBoer

If he averages 10 wins, he'll last 5 years.
He's 66. I doubt Michigan sees this as a silver bullet hire. Ceiling is 11-1, floor is 9-3. That's pretty damn good if you're a Regent or mega-doner booster.

I don’t think he’ll make it to 0-4 against Day. 3 and out.

Ok.
I think he lasts more than 3 years if makes the playoffs, esp if >1 in 1st 3 years .
