Hard to replace all the previous reps Boston had with the current QB as well. Sucks to think about the pass first offense taking a step back in 2026.

That’s why they need to be an experienced player. They may not have reps with Williams but they should be able to quickly grasp where they should be and when to be there. If they’re that guy, Williams should quickly get comfortable with them.

Alot of twisting going on around here. Without Boston the teams ceiling drops from natty contender to losing a 1st round game. They would need to add a 1st round talent at WR which is not happening so quit dooging about it this is a MASSIVE hit to next year and bigger than all the other losses combined

smooth move for the kid, I’m happy for him ~ I’m guessing he is a mid 2nd round pick and that he will be a serviceable pro… doubt his draft stock would have improved. And I think we will be fine next year with the WR group we have, vines bright may return in this scenario or another add ~ my view is that the rookies and the guys on the bench are good players, and that talent will be enough. JMO ~ obviously Canadawg does not agree.

Chris Lawson is your #1, Roebuck, Williams and Clay + Vines-Bright or another add from the portal is most likely the receiving room. A shot at the playoffs with or without Boston is all that is / was possible ~ the OL and DL have a ways to go and the running backs and run game in any event needs to improve dramatically, so a top 6-8 team was / is not likely and any drama about the team without Boston is a little overdone IMO.
