Also, I think Demond is pretty good and just isn't a guy who can yet make a difference against good defenses. I'm still optimistic to see what he does next year, and possibly, the year after. I think players are ready much more early in their career than we used to see though so I don't think it's an automatic thing that he'll necessarily get much better.
I'd be interested to see someone who is better at breaking things down than me compare his growth from Ohio State to Oregon this year. It worked out perfectly UW got the two best defenses they played, at home, first and last conference game. From being at the games I thought he was better passing against Ohio State but better running against Oregon and had better escapability at times. He had a massive turnover against Oregon that probably at least cost them 3, maybe 7, in a game where points weren't easy to score.

It's not just about them. They still did a good job.
