Pretty cool that Vanilla borked the data dump required to get out of their constant borking of my butthole.

I had the option of starting over with no history, and it would be $60 a month to start.
But 13 years of posts = over 130GB of data. So it will run slightly more than $3,000 a year. But it's worth it to keep our history. If nothing else, to preserve our Pup posts.

As of Tuesday night approaching midnight, nothing new to report. The data is uploaded now unless something went awry. My IT guy should be in contact with the support team. I will update when I know more.

Puppy stories, Doogman rants, boobs, gay jokes, and arguments with strangers… our own Hardcore Husky Georgia Guidestones must be preserved at all costs (!) ha.

I work in software. What your "IT Guy" is doing is likely very hard unless the new site has automated import mechanisms from Vanilla. You've got to deal with the content itself and then the mapping of users from one system to another. Difficult stuff. Thanks for investing to preserve the history, but I would expect this to be a rocky road for quite a bit…and you're coming up on christmas holidays. God speed….
