I agree with bringing in another QB but I don't think there's any realistic way to do that these days. I think the only hope for anything like that is if someone like McMillan actually is really a guy and forces it ins practice.
I think it's a good point that one of my disappointments with Demond and the offense is even against average and bad defenses I rarely felt like they were making teams pay for having defenders spy Demond. I wonder if they're too beholden to Judd offensive genius instead of just simplifying things and taking what is there. I also think Judd and the media might have overhyped his pure athletic abilities.
(Not that I have a choice) but I'm good with LIPO in 2026 with Demond. They need better WRs and TEs for him too.

Agree Woolley
The in game stuff (including how we started a bunch of the road games) is why I'm so sour on Jedd.
A good coach takes what is there.
I don't care HOW we win, just win the f'ing game.
His insistence on doing it how he wants to do it is a huge problem he needs to overcome.

Maybe we will, but I'd be curious to see Demond with another coach/system. His negative tendencies look a lot like Browning's under Petersen where we eventually figured out the system sucked and didn't do him favors. You see the same shit too of the slow play action with the only two guys running routes, by each other, neither open, QB taking a lot of sacks, and bad sacks.

I still think the height thing is a huge problem.
Browning is 6'2"
"Iron deer on the lawn", as Hugh would say, but he could see and set up in the pocket in the right spot.

send pics, you know the rule….

It definitely is. How many successful comps to Demond are they as a guy who people seem to think is legit 5'9? Kyler Murray and Russ? Murray was on a team that was rolling in a conference with historically bad defenses and Russ I believe struggled with interceptions and sacks.
I think it's easy to struggle with decision making and panicking when you can't see your pass catchers at all. I still worry about his instincts regardless though. The Ohio State game popped up on my treadmill feed and on third and two on the first drive he drops back and has a WR who can get the first or if he just tucks and run he's got a good shot, but then he hesitates and ends up getting tackled by some 300+ pound guy.

So, Demond isn't quick? There are plenty of things to bemoan about DW so that you don't need to make shit up. I don't think I saw a QB in Division 1 who is even close to that kid's first step or short-range acceleration.
DW is objectively elite in terms of foot speed and quickness. Please.
