Now the state, once again, pushes for an income tax that the Supreme Court will pretend is not an income tax.

Far more likely the court will be asked revisit the 5-4 decision which declared income taxes unconstitutional under the Washington constitution.
People earning $1 million plus in Washington pay very little in state and local taxes unless they decide to put all their money into real property or spend every cent they earn.
