Need Damones drunk father in law on the couch at the next podcast roundtable.

I keep volunteering but they won't have someone who doesn't have dial-up internet on the pod.

To get to 10-2 next year, UW needs to get in the portal:
2 good OT/G
1 very good DL that can push his guy into the QB
1 very good EDGE
A #2 TE
1 CB - bring back Thaddeus Dixon? -
Fauci is a doog no doubt

- Thanks for the pod gentlemen. Here is a running commentary I wrote as I listened.
This is the perfect time for the 12 team playoff. NIL has distributed talent all over the place. There are five teams in the SEC, three in the B10, one in the B12 maybe one in the ACC and ND that are all basically about the same. I want to see them all line up and knock heads.
I totally agree that Judds excuses are tiring. USC is 5-1 in the B10, the size doesn’t seem to bother them. Oregon has one conference loss in two years. Nope, doesn’t bother them. ASU with Skattabo would have played great in the B10 last year. Can he not just say we’re building this thing from the studs. We’re looking good moving forward but we aren’t there yet. That would be refreshing coming from him.
Huge hire in Walters. As the kids get more and more comfortable, the defense gets better and better. I’m excited to see another step next year.
I feel like when coaches are stepping out on their current jobs there’s noise on the recruiting trail. Kids start decommitting, rumors circulate from recruits about not hearing from coaches in weeks. Judd keeps bringing kids in on officials, he’s still grinding on this class. He’s trying to finish it out strong. I’m pleased with the efforts. UCLA has zeroed in on the JMU coach and there is a zero percent chance Florida can start at Kiffin and swivel to under .500 Fish and sell that to the fan base. Judd is all UW … this year.
I agree 100% with you Derek. Mora would galvanize the donor base. NIL would see an uptick. He’s been really good at UConn. They are the equivalent to a good MW team and they have nothing to offer players. No money, no fan base, no conference, no playoffs. I’d be okay with him at UW.
Here’s my Doog Positive fever dream: 2015 UW was really young. True freshman, RS freshman and true sophomores littered that entire roster at some of the most important positions. We never really thought about it because Pete never smashed the fact over our head every single week, every single interview. He just kept grinding. That 2015 team was so frustrating to watch. Up and down, up and down. Three losses at home, blowing a 17 point lead to ASU, losing to Cal. They finished strong. Beat OSU by 45 I think, beat top 20 WSU by 35 and win the fried Oreo bowl. I’m not saying 2026 UW will win the B10 but maybe if ghey finish strong this year they can make a playoff run despite Judds playcalling. The young talent is striking and exciting.
I don’t expect a win in the Rose Bowl on Saturday. Why would I? But if those boys roll down there and play like they can, win that game 35-14 I’ll let my Doog flag fly for the week heading into Oregon. Line em up and see what happens.

I like this guy and my guess is that his senior season has shown even more:
-
You had me at “ghey finish” #woof
-
Obviously my phone typed that word quite often. 😂

I would probably be excited about the expanded playoff if UW hadn't chocked against Wisconsin, so I'm a hypocrite but I've always liked college football in general, especially when I'm watching beyond UW, for greatness, not who is the most above average.
The Big 10 style size shit is just a BS narrative and an excuse for Judd. A smaller but more skilled OL would be better than just a big one. Wasn't Jimmy's whole thing he wanted massive linemen then Buelow and Ale were so big they couldn't get out of their stances and Montana's 265-pound DTs were shooting gaps?
I hope they can keep Walters for at least one more year. Will be really interesting to see him in a big test against Oregon. They're running the ball in a way no one UW has played has.
I'm excited about the young talent but it's so hard to be because less than two seasons in Judd and it's already a question if he'll leave or not, even when he was just 6-2.

Fisch does have a point and Huff did him no favors by whiffing on too many guys in his last couple of years but it sounds like he is making too many excuses when he mentions more than once or twice.
I think they will be able to keep Walters at least one more year and he could get a raise with another year tacked on his contract. Oregon will definitely be a big test though they did play Michigan on the road and Michigan also has a very good running game. What has me more confident is that RS-Soph Elinneus Davis has really been coming along and RS-JR Bryce Butler is showing up more too. Combine that with ZRS flashing and Manu being able to play his 4th game of the season and UW has more depth to withstand a tough rushing attack.
I also think it's a matter of when, not if, Fisch leaves. The biggest question is what Chun will do if he happens to go 2-0 these last two games. I know, I know, this team is strange on the road and @UCLA isn't as easy as it should be for Washington but it's still a chinteresting (if not high) possibility.
