We'll Make It Real Simple
I've said to people going into this week that I thought it was more likely that Jedd was leaving after this year than staying for another year but I didn't think it was a complete given … I've said that as long as his likely destination was able to come up with comparable money for a roster that he'd have with UW
Today was the definition of a disinterested performance that we see throughout college football when the noise of a coach with at least one foot out the door is no longer a behind the doors secret in the program
I think you can deduce from today's performance that it's likely that Jedd has an agreement in principal agreed to elsewhere
I would be shocked at this point if Jedd is back next year
You can start trying to figure out what names you'd be happy with in the coaching search …
You're also almost assuredly looking at a 2-3 year rebuild as its highly likely that the roster gets decimated with guys following Jedd
Today was your sign

Jedd is gone.
The team seemed out of it as well, too much noise has been allowed, leading everyone to sense the same.
-
Or he was in the running and blew it.
-
what did his wife post on TikTok? Was she deep throating Dom P and getting shots in the ass or silent? If silent, I'm guessing he blew it.
-
We can roll out the red carpet for him as he departs.
-
The fans in Westwood will be stoked to win 7-8 every year. No one there expects to beat teams with big physical defensive fronts. It’s perfect.
-
That all may be true …
But would be a substantial improvement for UCLA
-
Eklund has a retort to those of you saying this team is disappointing
"They were competitive vs. Ohio State.
They lost to Michigan on the road due to two turnovers by a player starting his ninth game as a college player.
They came back against Maryland on the road when down 20 with 3 min left in the third quarter. Last year they lose that game by three scores.
They beat WSU at Martin when they didn't play very well defensively. They beat Illinois handily at home. They destroyed Rutgers.
Yeah...no improvement, you're right."
-
I'd put today's loss about 90%+ on internal items with the team not being ready to play and 10% on weather/injuries
We lost this game before it even started today
This story happens every year in college football when Coach X starts having his name floated around going somewhere else when that noise becomes more of a reality. It's not hard to see.

if Jedd leaves (unlikely — what AD would want to defend this hire now?), I think it's unlikely he raids the roster. He wasn't even able to get Arizona's best players to follow him.
And UW has a significant NIL operation that can help keep kids here, too. I don't even think Demond would for sure follow him.
I'd be more worried about the portal generally, versus anyone following Fisch.
-
Good thing we got a coog AD to coog this situation.👍🏻👍🏻
-
Demond is 99.999999999% following Jedd
-
My only question about this theory is just that we've looked exactly this shitty at every road game basically.
Was it actually that different?
-
What if we just fired Jedd? Does he get another job this year?
-
Same job he'd get if we didn't fire him
-
So UCLA. Then just fire his ass and let them sell getting Washington’s scraps.
-
No, it was very in character.
Defense Played well enough to win and the offense shit the bed from the play calling genius.
-
That's what I thought.
I was hoping we'd changed, but I'm not at all surprised we shit the bed on the road.
They have yet to play a good game on the road under Jedd, nearly 2 years in the books. I guess the highlight is the "Miracle in the 4th" at Maryland.
-
Get a real coach in here and you can find a QB.
Are there any examples of a QB that Jedd has actually developed at any level?
-
Definitely not. There are a ton of variables. Could he follow Jedd somewhere? Of course. But it's strange to act like it's some fait accompli. Again, Jedd couldn't get his best players to follow him when he left AZ. They stayed behind in a literal dumpster fire.
-
That's the tell. It's not a game here and a game there. He can't play on the road. The problem has been established and acknowledged. Road performance is about coaching. UW, even with some soft spots here and there, UW should not lose to a team with zero offense. I'm not sure about Lanning overall but one thing you can say about him is that his teams don't disappear on the road. Jedd's absolutely do.
As to Jedd being in play and all that shit, what program in their right mind would Pat Haden hire this dude now? He has done exactly nothing to warrant interest from any major program. That would be a Sark to USC move at this point. I'll believe it when I see it.
-
Jedd is 100% already gone to UCLA. Same feeling as when kalen took the bama job and didn’t prepare for the natty.
there are also rumors he told a recruit he’ll be at ucla next year.
too many clues that he’s checked out and already agreed to take the ucla job, on top of his family hating Seattle -
to UCLA? Is he gonna sit behind Nico? Doubtful.
-
Jedd is free to go to UCLA for half the pay while they cough up his buyout. That sounds like having our cake and eating it too.
-
Demond will go to where ever pays him.
Same as Jedd.
Doesn’t mean it’s the same place.
-
Jedd hasn't developed him here, he should go somewhere irregardless
-
UW is averaging 21.1 ppg in B10 play. Good for 11th in the conference. What player would want to jump back in with that kind of production? Whoever UW would bring in, whether Dickert, Eck, Mora, Dillingham, whoever, that seems like an easy conversation to have with any kids thinking of following Judd to UCLA. 21ppg is John Donovan territory.

Will other schools firing their head coach be losing talent into the portal or are we the only ones
