Do you disagree that there are thousands of people that do not get jobs because they do not want to lose their welfare?
-
“really though trust me”
What a Lightweight.

Not at all.
The number could easily be that small.

I went to MacDonald's for actual food a few weeks ago. I never go there for anything except cheap ice a few tims a year. It's like $1.75 for a ten pound bag or something. Free adverstising from Billy.
Anyway, it was all automated. I think if you hit a button or something, an employee comes out. It was county, so the min. wage was probably $14.70. I believe in minimum wage unlike Damone, but anyone with a lick of economic sense knows if you make $23 an hour or something, it kills jobs and hurts small businesses.
-
That JFK spirit that is now dead in the dem party. Free sh*t to everyone who asks and no responsibility for the recipient.
-
Minimum wage is and has always been zero.
-
Antebellum, sure.
-
Not according to the marxist labor theory of value which is subscribed to by the US leftards. The brilliant work of the Kathleen Kennedy's of Disney who destroyed their best brand names certainly deserved the hundreds of millions they got paid for their hard work. Screw the market theory of value which would have charged them millions for their "work".
-
Gasbag defends the statement that a rational worker would work for Zero and anything else is MARXISM!
I blame the Oregon Econ Department.
-
Employers have a say in what the minimum wage is too.
-
Of course. But the result will never be zero among free people.
-
Says the guy who votes for cheap labor from illegals
-
Minimum wage hikes also drive up the labor floor leaving anyone underneath it to sit on welfare.
Illegal labor exacerbates the problem.
-
Agree. Let's make 'em legal and see who drives a harder bargain.
-
Let's deport them and have jobs for Americans
You can go with them
-
I’d be willing to make a trade.
