Watched the whole Illinois game
Missed the first 3 quarters because of kids soccer, and finally got around to watching it.
That game was a blowout. 42-10. Illinois got gifted two TDs on absolutely atrocious calls that took away INTs. Trump needs to deport that fuckin ref.
We got lucky on the Boston muffed punt and the fucked up reverse. Easily could have been turnovers.
That 3rd and 18 run by Demond was fucking retarded. Dude is unstoppable against mediocre competition. I think Michigan would have gone differently with the OL at full strength.
Denzel Boston is probably in my top 3 favorite players of the last 10 years. Dude is tough and competitive as fuck. He’s so dependable, and surprisingly good after the catch for a 6’4” WR. He’s going to be a first round pick as long as he runs 4.5 or under, which I’d be really surprised if he doesn’t. “Stop babying me” is one of my favorite in game quotes of all time.
Overall, solid performance against a decent team. Get healthy this week and plunger Wisconsin or fuck off, Judd.

Completely agree about the score. You don't have to squint to see the game was 2 bad calls away from being well in hand

"Stop babying me." Would fit on a mug.

We could combine Denzel Boston and Pup onto a beer glass….
"Stop babying me…. Holy fuckall!"

Who knows if they score or not but I wasn't a fan of the first PI call on Tacario in the end zone on Illinois' first TD. Really looked like the WR just fell down or their feet clicked. It got overshadowed by the even worse one. Other than an atrocious spot I can't really think of questionable calls that went the other way.

I feel pretty #blessed that our youth basketball shit doesn't conflict with Husky Football. Kiddy flag football is on Sundays down here.
I just get fucked over on skis days but still get to watch my Dawgs!!

DDY was FIRST and WRITE

my takeaway after rewatching the Illinois game:
Durfee can’t possibly be the team’s best option at left edge. He is less than JAG
-
Man I have just seen nothing there for a few games. I know Devin Hyde got some reps in early games but I really don't know if they have anyone else to really even stick out there. I know Rainey-Sale was projected as a guy who might be able to get after QBs, at least from the LB position.

Is that “Doog Legend, Durfee?”

They need ZRS in pass coverage. Supple, supple hips. There will be no edge magic pill this season. If Judd doesn’t spend premium money on a pass rusher out of the portal they may as well shutter the program. The cupboard is full of tweeners, and long term projects that may or may not ever pan out. Lane is the only guy with a pulse on the edge. If there was anyone opposite him worth a shit, he’d look even better.

He’s so bad. He looks like Aiden Hutchinson, but plays like my 41 year old ass.

One thing you'd only know if you WE'RE AT THE GAME was right before the start of the second half they played that "Pump it up" song and almost the entire team was on the field, a lot of guys halfway across (mostly guys who don't play) jumping up and down and kind of seeming to direct it at Illinois. It was good energy and it showed.
Would love to see them maintain it against better opponents. One of the biggest things Deboer and Penix did was change the tone for the program after the passiveness of the Petersen era.
