Hotair article so TITTT if you like but the writer does a good job capturing how huge KISS was in the 70s.
-
I didn't wish ill will on him whatsoever. But I saw him years ago on Tom Snyder and it was so cringe that I lost a lot of respect for him. He was also not my favorite back in the day. I was big into Gene Simmons. Nevertheless, T's and P's. New York Groove is a good song.

My favorite part was when he compared them to the Spice Girls.

Kiss is not a great band for me. I am probably too young (I am not young) but I can see how, in the 70s, the Destroyer cover alone is enough to make you a fan for life as a teen.
They never got to me, but like I said I am late 40s. If you were a teen in the mid 70s I get it.
Having said that, it sucks to lose our Rock Star heroes, because we are not making as many as we used to.
I mean, Fuck, Metallica dudes are 60+.
All that to say; Go Easy Ace Frehley. You are a rock god, despite it all.

I got into KISS at age 8. My first concert was KISS at the Seattle Center Coliseum in 1979
-
I was at that concert as well Derek, the lazer light show was outstanding, the music was good, the sound accoustics in the dome not so good, but of course we knew that and went anyway.
-
This wasn't in the Dome, it was in the Seattle Center Coliseum
-
Yes of course that is right, well anyway, i was there. I've continued to be a Simmons fan to the point that I gave a cool portrait of him to our daughter to hang outside of one of her horses stalls ~ a horse that had the same mohawk on the top of his head. He was interested in the photo and enjoyed listening to some KISS tunes. Yah.
