This thread got me curious about how Maryland moved throughout the game. These are mostly accurate numbers.
1st quarter 9 carries for 39 yards and a TD and 6/10 passing for 33 yards.2nd quarter 7 carries for 18 yards and 8/15 passing for 66 yards and a pick.
3rd quarter 3 carries for 8 yards and 6/9 passing for 71 yards and a TD.
4th quarter 1 carry for 2 yards and 9/14 passing for 46 yards.
Overall 30/49 passing for 215 yards and 20 carries for 57 yards. * official stats show 55 yards rushing.
Maryland went away from the run starting in the 2nd quarter when they averaged 2.5 ypc.

Speaking of players that don’t have prototypical looks, Jacob Manu is a fucking fire hydrant and reminds me of Nik Bolton (fuckin’ Bob Gregory).
-
Leroy Bryant basically got beat on 3rd down which would have been a touchdown if the receiver caught the ball. He just is not up to par in his coverage skills. Washington was lucky the receiver didn’t catch it even though it was a perfect pass. Next play was 4th down and Pysock batted it down

I love how he plays, reminds me of old school Husky Football. We? need more players like him.
-
He’s a stud. We can’t redshirt him because we need him too badly this year. Bryant and the WSU transfer both return next year anyways.
-
It was a dime. It wasn’t terrible coverage and Leroy Bryant does make some plays, but he’s not great right now. Clark was obviously a spring Doog legend. He doesn’t even see the field.
If/when Taco comes back, Bryant will have some competition with Dylan Robinson and Batman. Against certain teams, we can get away with going bigger at nickel.
-
Clark got PT and is hurt
-
I knew he played early. I didn’t know he got hurt.
-
That's exactly what I was thinking initially. Apparently in the new world order of CFB the player is more important than the team. Sad.
-
Yikes tough take. Roebuck is "slow and small" and possibly our best WR.
Our practice player Durfee hasn't had a game as good as Lynch had

Here’s some hawt DB talk that I love! Saturday was easily Bryant’s best game as a Husky. That’s how poor he’s been this year. Slot is easily his best position, watching him as CB2 in the Apple Cup was brutal. Even worse than Robinson was as CB2 against Maryland. I give DR a pass because he’s a true freshman and he’s had some moments of brilliance. Also, I’m not calling Prysock “Loadsock” to my friends anymore. He’s been really, really good this year. Took the mythical Coach Pete, “extra step” as a senior. Lastly, is Esteen possibly the worst open field tackler at UW? It’s like he took lessons from Asa Turner Overdrive. My goodness. He runs full sprint at ball carriers, they cut, he flys by. Does he have the supple hips to break down and wrap up? Me thinks not. There’s a reason a guy in his sixth year is splitting reps with an 18 year old nicknamed Batman.

Robinson gave up one pass to Maryland
-
Double move where we got no pressure on the QB and Robinson bit on the route at the sticks on third and long.
-
This has been the best tackling Husky defense I can remember in quite some time. Our DL is actually really impressive around the LOS making tackles too.
Prysock has been a revelation too and would be awesome to see him again with Davis across the field. It's almost like fate won't let him get an interception with the final pass from Maryland being one you wouldn't want him to intercept anyway.
-
Is that right? Seemed like he was behind a lot of first half third down conversions. He was really good in the fourth quarter of the Apple Cup and not overwhelmed vs OSU but I felt he was getting picked on by Maryland. I could be wrong.
-
@theknowledge Yeah Dan Raley has an article about how the secondary performed.
McLaughlin led the team in tackles but got cooked
-
I’ll trust you, not sure I trust Raley.
