Head Coach Jedd Fisch Postgame Press Conference: Ohio State

Would you say he's done 7 things right for 6 things he's done wrong?
-
Partially with you. Taking a step back Fisch was hardly an uninspired hire. Took a team from the bottom to top in 2 seasons and acquired talent. Theoretically the trajectory of great is still on the table even though he butchered a once in a decade opportunity to beat the #1 at home.
Unless he beats the #1 at home in November

The technology appears to be available

Winning the Alamo Bowl is taking a team to the top?
Don't get me wrong, what he did was impressive. But let's not fall to revisionist history
-
I actually thought the first half sucked because the writing was on the wall after they couldn't punch it in from the 2 yard line. And then the full retard fake field goal was the nail in the coffin.

2021 team…I dunno. I think the QB was a pretty big question mark and DeBoer fixed that problem. No DeBoer and there is no BPE and UW wins 5-6 games in 2022.
Edit: why do I have to double-click the quote feature to get it to work if I've already quoted another post on the same page without double-clicking the button?

For half the teams in the nation including Arizona being the #11 ranked team and beating a #12 Oklahoma is absolutely the top. He won and he won fast with 5 ranked wins and 2 of his 3 losses to top 10 teams.
Push that standard up to UWs level and I'm not writing him off as a killer yet that's all

Playing for the natty is the top
But we will agree to disagree

Buck D lives for first and goal. They're incredibly proficient at stopping TDs. Nobody scores consistently inside the 10 against buck.

You're such a stubborn idiot Race
DeBoer was NEVER staying once Alabama was on the table … NEVER STAYING
You can blame the AD all that you want for not making him an offer that he couldn't refuse but there was a really good offer on the table (over $10M/yr) that DeBoer refused to sign (wonder why) well before Saban retired and Alabama was on the table. You can play the woulda coulda game but it's not reality.
Fisch may be the guy or he may not be the guy … time will prove that. Losing to #1 early in Year 2 doesn't definitively say he is or isn't the guy.
You can say "nobody wants to sit back and wait to see if he's the guy or not" and that's great but what's the reality?
The reality is that Washington doesn't generate revenues and donations at the levels of the bluest of blue bloods. We're not buying a top end roster every year to do the shortcuts that you want done. For UW that's not a sustainable approach. IF you (and others) want to buy that top end roster each year then start ponying up significantly more dollars to do so … but you (and others) won't because it's easier to sit back, bitch, and moan.
A far more % of coaches are not the guy instead of being the guy. Go through the history of UW head coaches and give me the "win rate" of the head coach being "the guy" … it's a lower % than you think it is.
I'd be willing to bet that if I searched hard enough you were skewering DeBoer after the back to back losses to UCLA and Arizona State …
Your game is very transparent at this point … don't discuss facts in any detail, hide behind and anchor to BS opinions, and call people names. You like to view that as #winning … that shows how out of touch you are with anything.
I haven't even started to take any gloves off … Race has to come a lot better than he has for me to do more than jab with a single hand
