Trump's DOJ demands to see WA State's voter rolls. Why? What are they looking for?

If 44 states refused data requests then I’d assume 44 states are cheating in one way or another. I’d like that cleaned up whether they are red or blue leaning. Wouldn’t you? Information is so easily traded and stolen in this world, what do they think they’re actually protecting?

Basically it’s the honor system, and in increasing numbers, Democrat leadership has no honor. I won’t blame the illegals casting ballots for the most part as it can be a condition of employment as an illegal alien, or even with a threat of deportation if they won’t allow their ballot to be farmed as solid Democrat.
Dem leadership knows what they’re doing.

Worked for PIPS and she was an actual Yale Law School graduate and member of the Arkansas bar and a partner in one of Little Rocks biggest law firms. And yet they let her off because she didn't intend to have an illegal private server for top secret communications or that she didn't intend to destroy evidence that has been subpoenaed.

Full AI report. There is a cross state DMV check
- Identity Verification: WA driver’s license/ID or last-4 SSN is matched against DOL or SSA databases. No match → provisional status until acceptable ID is provided.
- Address Verification: Non-forwardable notices mailed to confirm addresses. Undeliverable mail triggers confirmation notices; lack of response → inactive, then canceled after two general elections.
- Eligibility (Citizenship, Age, Felony): Applicants attest under penalty of perjury to being U.S. citizens, 18+, and not serving a felony prison sentence. Monthly checks against DOC remove ineligible felons.
- Online Registration: Requires WA driver’s license/ID; automated DOL match plus signature import.
- In-Person/Paper Registration: Paper or in-person forms accepted. If no ID, first-time voters must show ID at voting. Same-day registration available at vote centers.
- Ongoing Roll Maintenance:
- Deceased voters: Monthly removals based on WA Dept. of Health + SSA records.
- Felons: Monthly cross-check with DOC.
- Address changes: Automatic updates from DOL, other agencies, and USPS NCOA.
- ERIC special processing: WA is a member of the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC). ERIC uses cross-state DMV and voter data to flag:
- Voters who may have moved out of state.
- Duplicate registrations across states.
- Deceased voters missed by state data.
- Eligible but unregistered residents (from DMV records), whom WA may contact with registration info.
- ERIC reports are processed regularly (at least every 60 days). Voters flagged receive confirmation notices before any cancellation. In past audits, ERIC identified hundreds of deceased and duplicate records that state processes missed, leading to cleaner rolls.
- Legal Framework: RCW Title 29A (notably 29A.08.010, 107, 510, 520, 605–630), WAC 434-324-090, HAVA, and NVRA.

You are describing a process. The problem they are having with the DOJ is that they don’t actually follow it…
-
It sounds like you abandoned your first unprovable and false contention, now moving on to another contention even less provable. You're a notch smarter than most of the trumptards here. It's a disappointment.

The autistic mind won’t be able to process the disconnect between a process and the reality that as of now, there is no accountability of check/balance for failure to follow the processes in federal elections.
-
The state has internally been freaking out about this coming DOJ case for months. They aren’t freaking out over nothing.

Imagine that the illegal illegally stole a Social Security number and then used that same number to register to vote. The dementia patient's administration was handing out SSNs like candy.

The same people that say "well if you have nothing to hide." Regarding government spying on citizens has a problem with the government looking at voter rolls.

I am old enough to remember a Warshington official say they would process a name on a napkin if it came in that way.
