DeBoer

nothing I said was made up. I do root for Bama to lose and DeBoer to fail. He deserves it with how dirty he did the program. You can't see that he was never in a million years stating once he hired Sexton.
I root for a DAWG win more than a Bama loss. It's not mutually exclusive. Fisch needs to be in the playoff by year 3, that is reasonable after a complete roster rebuild after DeBoer salted the earth. No playoffs by year 3, tarmac.

Fisch needs to go 11-2 this year
Period
And 14-1 next
And you don't know shit about what happened
Because Jimmy and 4-8 was the Garden of Eden
-
Common sense tells me he can still turn that program back to great. You usually don't go from being a great coach for many years to shit overnight.
But it's hard to stake a strong defense of DeBoer after the shit he put on the field last Saturday.

I know more than you

Whether Fisch fails or succeeds at UW isn't relevant to this exercise. No one has argued Fisch was an upgrade for that 14-1 wasn't fucking awesome.
We don't know what the number would have been to keep DeBoer at UW, but one can assume it was $13,000,000 or more. We also don't know who DeBoer post BPE is yet, but seems there's cause for concern. I'm old enough to remember when Rick was the best coach in all the land until he wasn't.
I've never bought into the narrative the the UW athletic department has and endless supply of monopoly money lying around. Certainly this can't be the case when we're borrowing $10 million a year from the B1G on future revenue or telling Olympic sports they need to figure out a new funding model.
North of $13 million is a lot a money for a guy that might not be infallible.
-
none of that shit even matters because the moment Sexton was involved in DeBoer's life he was going to the SEC. End of story
-
Because I'm an Occam's Razor guy, I agree with this explanation.
-
Occam knows UW is cheap
And DeBoer at Bama isn't relevant either
My point all along
Thank you for your attention to this matter
-
12-6 at Fresno
9-5 at Alabama
25-3 at UW
It’s just different here.
-
I'm old enough to remember when it didn't matter that Gilby and Ty failed elsewhere because we are WASHINGTON dammit
-
Rick failed at Ucla too
-
I'll always remember the sinking feeling the night after the first Oregon win when Grubb popped up on my IG feed from the UW Football account thanking the fans and shit and saying he was going to go celebrate with a bottle of vino (cab that drinks like a merlot, prob). It sat weird with me even that early it was him and not Deboer.
Turns out Deboer was probably on the phone with Sexton as Big Sexy housed a tub of cookies and cream and talked about the Bama job since Lanning had turned them down for the 18th time on the flight back to where the grass is damn green.
-
Deboer flaming out at Bammer is honestly super clutch for this site as all the users with Sarks posters on the wall with the eyes cut out will have fresh blood seeing as Sark is succeeding at Texass
-
He did, but he was ousted too soon.
The injury to Brett Hundley during summer of his first season was the nail in the coffin for Rick.
Rick gets fired, UCLA hires Mora, who does well in his first 2 seasons with Rick's guys. Then Ucla starts sucking again with Mora's guys.
I think Rick would have won 10+ games if given 1 more year.
-
there is no proof Lanning was ever offered
-
Will Sark ever win a Natty at Texas?
His teams look so average against good teams. The offense, in particular, reeks of trying-to-hard. I don't get the hype.

@PostGameOrangeSlices
@Woolleydoog
-
Bottom line is UW traded a proven winner for a guy with a career losing record to save 5 million a year
-
wrong
Sexton
Case closed
-
I have no clue with Sark and a natty. My gut says he's not a natty level coach and Texas is a massive underachiever on the highest level for 50+ years now, so no. He has them in a place though that if they just get a Heisman type like Vince Young at QB they could easily roll though. There's probably less than 10 programs that can say that right now.
-
alaShe (DeBoer) never loved you, she was using you. She hired the best divorce attorney around (Sexton) that was recommended by the rich women (SEC) she befriended at wine club.
It hurts. I know it hurts.
Giving her a bigger allowance at Nordstrom and jewelry stores wasnt going to save the marriage once the richest man in town came calling (Bammer).
-
Idk if he wins a natty but it's not super relevant. He's got a program running top 10 now and that's nothing to turn your nose up at. Harbaugh never won it all till he did so who knows
-
Hiring Kwat was the best thing Sark ever did in his career.
Sark's offense is meh even with 5 star talent. That defense has been carrying him.
-
Can we, at least, agree that DeBoer might not be a "proven" winner in the same way the Urbs, Saban, Pete Carrol, Don James, et al, were "proven" winners?
-
Yellow, I agree. 100%
-
No. We can't.
