Melting down

Snarky short reply or Jesuschrist.gif when floundering.
I prefer coherent ball talk or a witty scripture

When I want your opinion I'll give it to you

Sounds old testiment

Kalen DeBoer's career record is 104-12. He began his head coaching career with the University of Sioux Falls from 2005 to 2009, where he had a 67-3 record and won three NAIA National Championships. DeBoer then coached at Fresno State (2020-2021) and the University of Washington (2022-2023), where he achieved an 11-2 and 14-1 record, respectively, before becoming the head coach for the University of Alabama in 2024.

I like my cherry picked stays better. Recency bias and all. Only 3 division 1 jobs,
12-6
9-5
25-3
All 3 jobs were/are top 3 jobs in their respective leagues. Maybe when this year is over he’ll float his name for NFL OC jobs and keep his two year job hopping trend. Unless he makes the playoffs those folks in Tuscaloosa won’t want him around anyway.

Neil Young on the short list?
-
Old man☝️ look at my life.
-
Here comes DeBoer unable to win
I'll say it again I think its a sin
-
Oh, Alabama, the devil fools with the best laid plans. DeBoer inherited a Cadillac and drove it straight into a ditch.
-
See the old folks
Tying white ropes
-
Sark can win a Natty.
If we somehow get James Franklin vs Sark for the Natty this year.
Literally the only way either of those 2 can win is if they can face each other.
-
DeBoner can be overrated/planned to have left early.
AND UW is cheap and took a "lose 7 games and save $5 million" coupon.
Both can be true at once.
-
If that game happens I'm pretty sure SMOD arrives at halftime or the universe collapses on itself.
-
-
Kind of weak sauce.
So would this guy be fine w Dabo right now? Probably.
-
I am still of the belief that Grubb never interviewed the year before
it was fact finding for DeBoer…
-
Me and Joey have always been Grubb's Bama interview was an inside job truthers. I think he also interviewed at A&M, which would make sense given it was likely that job would open up too, and Sexton was Jimbo's agent.
My guess is Sexton probably hoped to land DeBoer one of those places, have UW promote Grubb, then sign Grubb.
-
One of my favorite traditions of this site is that ex-UW coach threads are always main board fodder.
-
Deboer lost his mojo when he got on ozempic. He will need to restart his career in Wisconsin where he can get back into game shape
-
I had a random thought the other day that he would land there and do really well.
Good tims for @PurpleBaze

Alabama can't afford a one time 60m payout to Deboer, However they can afford a one million dollar buyout to him paid every month until Jan 2031 which is the buyout terms of the contract.
If they can find a coach who will agree to 11 million a year then it's a wash with Kalen's buyout, If they find a "diamond in the rough" coach who only needs 10 million a year, they make a million on the trade.

am I being whooshed? What in the hell kind of math is going on here.
