DeBoer

nothing I said was made up. I do root for Bama to lose and DeBoer to fail. He deserves it with how dirty he did the program. You can't see that he was never in a million years stating once he hired Sexton.
I root for a DAWG win more than a Bama loss. It's not mutually exclusive. Fisch needs to be in the playoff by year 3, that is reasonable after a complete roster rebuild after DeBoer salted the earth. No playoffs by year 3, tarmac.

Fisch needs to go 11-2 this year
Period
And 14-1 next
And you don't know shit about what happened
Because Jimmy and 4-8 was the Garden of Eden

Common sense tells me he can still turn that program back to great. You usually don't go from being a great coach for many years to shit overnight.
But it's hard to stake a strong defense of DeBoer after the shit he put on the field last Saturday.

Whether Fisch fails or succeeds at UW isn't relevant to this exercise. No one has argued Fisch was an upgrade for that 14-1 wasn't fucking awesome.
We don't know what the number would have been to keep DeBoer at UW, but one can assume it was $13,000,000 or more. We also don't know who DeBoer post BPE is yet, but seems there's cause for concern. I'm old enough to remember when Rick was the best coach in all the land until he wasn't.
I've never bought into the narrative the the UW athletic department has and endless supply of monopoly money lying around. Certainly this can't be the case when we're borrowing $10 million a year from the B1G on future revenue or telling Olympic sports they need to figure out a new funding model.
North of $13 million is a lot a money for a guy that might not be infallible.

none of that shit even matters because the moment Sexton was involved in DeBoer's life he was going to the SEC. End of story

Because I'm an Occam's Razor guy, I agree with this explanation.
