You haven't been "listening" to the B1G station all off-season.
I've been actually watching these previews including Ohio State and my criticism has nothing to do with UW in particular. Everybody in an 18 team conference is getting roughly the same treatment.
Your no-research, butthurt, nothing comment on "The B1G has done nothing for UW's national perception" is so stupid it wasn't worth responding to beyond a simple downvote. You guys don't put the time into this that you say you do, and it's obvious to everyone that does.
Older fans not spending or wanting to keep up with price increases is an issue with sports across the board, it's not a UW thing even though you guys want it to be because you hate the school itself so much.
What are you talking about with regards to price increases? Don't recall that ever coming up.
Yes, I do listen to the B1G network on Sirius all the time. I can count on two fingers the number of times I've heard UW front and center. Meanwhile the Ducks get their own personalities on air for interviews, and obviously the traditional B1G schools like Michigan and tOSU get a ton of attention.
UW has gotten so much national recognition since the move that we? got ZERO AP votes in the pre-season poll.
The fuck? You realize these previews are fucking TV content right? I drive my car maybe 3 miles a month, who gives a fuck about XM radio. I never listened to the Pac 12's thing either.
No I'm asserting on my own that a bunch of people even in a 100% reverted pre-BCS format, if the prices were still the same today due to inflation and everything else, still wouldn't pay.
Sports across the board has massively increased their prices and many older fans have said No for awhile. That's fine, you get a fraction of the bang for your ever increasing buck nowadays, but just don't be dishonest and pretend like it's just a UW thing.
Fair enough on the tv thing, but I don't watch tv outside of streaming some old show for an hour with the wife at the end of the day. Radio is my opportunity to catch up on new/live content for sports, other than watching live games. P12 network, UW was obviously featured a ton there. The shift in coverage now that they're in the B1G has been jarring.
I'm not sure where the dollars thing is coming from here, but live entertainment is insanely expensive no matter what your interests these days. People either have to suck it up or watch from home.
To Haie's poont. E1 parking this year increased $100, for what they are calling a 'gift'. That's on top of needing to be a Tyee member to even be able to purchase the parking passes. The number of older people who have been die hard, long term season ticket holders is dwindling. I see it in my small circles. Multiple 8 pm starts are a big middle finger to those long term, very loyal fans. Those things are often cited as reasons older long term fans give up their seats. Also it wouldn't have killed them to install some escalators with the rebuild. I'm just thinking about the Racebannons out there with bad knees and greatly diminished cardio.
And that's why i don't even post on this topic much anymore, because it's obvious that with 1 channel and 18 teams, everybody is going to feel slighted. Only Ohio State even come close to standing out.
UW is getting fluffed by almost everyone that's a regular contributor from my experience. "This year's Indiana" which yes is really annoying.
I completely disagree with the Pac 12 Network. A bunch of you live up north where you have access to the Washington-only channel. I was stuck with the Oregon one so I watched the national channel exclusively. This is where you actually see how that network operates in terms of coverage. UW got completely ass fucked by the network every single fucking year except like 1 or 2 Petersen years. They hired a bunch of ex-players from the smaller schools and that's all those guys wanted to talk about.
2022 and 2023 UW was by far the best team and the Pac's coverage was so embarrassing that I started rooting for all of those people to lose their jobs.
we really had no choice but to join the Big 10. We came in dead on arrival. Im sure if we have a good year this year and Demond stars we’ll have much better coverage next year.
I don’t think Kienholz would be better than Demond anyway and probably would have followed DeBoer to Bama like Mack to get beat out by some JAGy looking guy who has been on their roster for 4 years anyway.
I've never given those people shit for not wanting to pay a bunch and put in the time sink to do an 8pm kick off against a team we should no longer be scheduling in the latest cfb system.
I have literally helped an 80+ year old get to his seat because I saw how fucking hard it is for a dude like that to drop 500+ dollars for a seat he can't even physically get to. At the Michigan and SC games last year. Unsurprisingly he wasn't at UCLA.
That's something that UW and these programs need to figure out.
Yea. I noticed that after I collected all our bus money. I could have sworn that the price was the same $100 when they sent the bill with my season tickets, but then they increased it later after I collected the money.
They obviously want people to ride busses, by pricing them out. Used to be like 40 of them back in the day. Now they're lucky to get 4.

For Ohio State its 'the Script.'

Kellyanne covers the Buckeyes and still manages to misspell Kienholz.
Regardless, Lincoln will portal out of Columbus at first opportunity.

Our bus passes increased 25 dollars per game. Not enough season ticket holders on our bus to cover the $175 I guess

why would they? UW hasn't done shit in the conference
I think everybody’s ready to go hit a message board with a different colored jersey at this point.
too many words
Agree, zero fucks given by those guysm

The most important thing about the Ohio State game is going to be poasting 5 Reasons on the Boov boreds.
No one will be logged in to even read that. Benny's probably protesting somewhere right now, in fact..
Also in OK ST boreds
