It was really cool the NCAA did this 2 years later instead of just suspending Michigan during that season. Losing to Bama and then having DeBoer take that job would have been so much more fun.
I am pretty sure the hammer has been retired. USC was probably the last school to get it that mattered. It will be interesting or not to see how the myriad bunch of new rules for pay for play are enforced. If I was a coach I would assume they won't be until proven otherwise

I will say the TBSing massive punishments were somewhat stupid but someone actively cheating in gameplay in something that is proven should get punishment. Though I don't know if they're gonna be able to prove much with Michigan.
