Good Vibrations
Not a big Beach Boys fan. Fagging out on Kokomo with Uncle Jessie on drums was lame.
Dude was a musical genius though. Next level shit.
Procreated a couple decent looking kids too. Wood Wendy every day of the week. Wood Carney if she’s hit the Ozempic.

Good Vibrations
-
Sloop John B
people forget Brian Wilson had zero involvement with Kokomo.
-
California Girls
I remember 1988 and thinking - the Beach Boys? Catchy tune though
-
Sloop John B
Terry Melcher produced it. Hence, the catchieness.
-
Good Vibrations
Mike Love fagged out.
-
Sloop John B
He's one of the great villains in rock history.
-
Wouldn't It Be Nice?
Kokomo w/John Stamos not on the list? Sad!
-
Wouldn't It Be Nice?
Why did "Fun Fun Fun" get left off the poll?
-
Sloop John B
Because there's only space for 9 and I didn't think it was one of the 9 best.
God Only Knows is arguable their best track and it only hit #39.
-
Wouldn't It Be Nice?
I'll be honest and say that most of their music really annoys me because every car show I ever attended was stuck in this era of music and it just made it unbearable after awhile.
-
Sloop John B
Do you wear jean shorts and knee high white socks when you go to those things?
-
Wouldn't It Be Nice?
Obviously, as any real american would.
Fanny pack, too.
-
Sloop John B
@YellowSnow - that was a really tough list to vote on. There are like 8 worthy selections. Not voting for "Wouldn't it be Nice" and "Good Vibrations" hurt my soul. By Sloop John B reminds me of my Dad. And it's a banger.

Sloop John B
You'll be graduating to a low miles used C-7 before you know it.

Good Vibrations
I never cared that much for these guys. The surfer and cruising shit is teenager music, which is fine, but not my thing.
Outside of that they could sing awful pretty. I'm a sucker for high harmonies. Good Vibrations is a crazy good track. God Only Knows is their best song. Could've voted for Wouldn't It Be Nice too

California Girls
I'm actually a little young for both the Beatles and Beach Boys
I caught the next wave of pre metal hard rock like Led Zeppelin. First album on my first stereo. Along with the Doors
-
California Girls
The Beatles did a homage to California Girls in Back in the USSR
-
Sloop John B
I got into Zeppelin at the same age as you, just 20 years later.

Good Vibrations
DLR's video > Beattle vinyl.

Surfer Girl
Great list, tough choice. Don’t Worry Baby has become my favorite over the last 20 years or so. It was the “B” side to I Get Around, and the band played on the recording, not the Wrecking Crew (Yes, I Google’d it)…
In my research I found that the session for I Get Around was the straw that broke the camel’s back…Murry was raking Brian over the coals, Dennis punched a wall and Brian shoved his abusive, piece of shit father, and fired him as their manager (disputed by Mike Love, but I know who I would trust, and it isn’t him). I hope Murry and “Dr” Landy are enjoying a nice, warm day in hell…

Good Vibrations
I blame Stan Love because he was a Duck.

Wouldn't It Be Nice?
Also the uncle of Kevin Love
-
Wouldn't It Be Nice?
God Only Knows is my favorite
I'm partial to Sloop John B
Wouldn't It Be Nice for me is just slightly better than Good Vibrations
