If as an article of quasi religious belief you think no tax increases can ever be justified or accomplish anything positive, then there is very little anyone can show you that will convince you otherwise.
My answer was that there's this thing called politics where you have to engage in some give and take in order to get things done—like a constitutional amendment in this case. You'd rather pretend I didn't answer the question than engage. Your choice.
Tough to unite when you leftards can't express your policy priorities. You either sexually mutilate children without their informed consent or you don't. Either you let men compete in women sports or you don't. They are men in women and girls bathrooms or they aren't. The border is either open or its closed. The cabal behind the dementia patient had four ears to express their unification ideas.
Gasbag has so many resentments that the clear policy preferences expressed in this conversation about the State of Washington's tax structure completely elude him. Still, we must recognize he was gassed in the trenches, and it's done damage.

The problem is that "regressive taxes" really don't mean anything. If everyone pays the same tax rate, it is hardly regressive unless you just redefine the term. If you pay zero federal income taxes and have a marginal rate of 0%, it's hard to say that someone paying $3 million in federal income taxes and has a marginal tax rate of 37% is benefiting from a regressive tax. If Joe Blow buys 20 gallons of gas he pays the same tax as Daddy Warbucks on his 20 gallon purchase.
Upwards of 20 million illegals and hh wants to raise taxes. Taxes of 56 cents per gallon and hh thinks its great. That effects virtually everything that the middle class buys. Forget the gallon of gas in their car, virtually everything that the poor and middle class buy is taxed by every ounce of transportation to get things from the field to the market and then to the store.
hh isn't smart enough to get it but the poor and middle class suffer because of it.

California is the perfect example of increasing taxes never solves the budgetary issue.

Get rid of mail in ballots and a hard requirement for voter ID is a minimum to get negotiations going.
Bob's question was unanswered
No they won't drop the other taxes. The gas tax saves the planet you heathens
I'm sure the Supreme Court of Washington can just proclaim an income tax isn't a tax like they did with capital gains
Third world corrupt but hey trust them
Why? You're rarely capable of acting like a serious person. Your default response to anything is an inane, glib comment with no rational underpinning

So you felt unequipped to respond to a serious poast.
I understand.
Know thyself.
It’s a blue state by a lot. Republicans are not in your way to put in an income tax.
Where's the "give" from our state leftists?
Jesus 🥴
Even assuming Democrats were absolutely united on this matter, they do not hold two-thirds of the seats in either chamber.
The last one that failed in 2010 promised lower other taxes in exchange for an income tax above $200k. It was voted down 64/36.
Indeed, neither party can unite on anything except that Race should continue to pay a disproportionate share of all state taxes.

Still waiting to hear what taxes and spending H wants to cut
Autistically screaming about fucking the poor while throwing shit at the wall isn't that effective
Thinking that calling me poor is an insult is very un Jesus like
The left is happy to negotiate if you just give them everything they want
Remember H screamed like a bitch about DOGE cuts to spending
Never met a tax or spending raise he didn't like

I just can’t understand why the Republicans with all their power in the state govt won’t just fix the regressive taxes. FFS.
