Another hot take
Democrats care don't you know. Jesus like I've heard
At least you're on the record
Democrats hate the poor and their policies hurt them
-
Being poor is a lack of character.
You newbie Republicans really need to catch up.
-
What would Jesus do?
He wouldn't blame Republicans for democratic policies that you gleefully admit fuck the poor
We have you on the record
-
California taxes people heavily during their earning years. And the olds vote so probably a bridge too far.
-
@h I'll give you points for an honest answer.
California is also the land of ultra wealthy libs and political families with inherited wealth.
Indeed, most of even the democrat boomers object to property and inheritance taxes.
Wealth and exit taxes warming up in the bullpen currently.

I don’t know the political composition of the 1930s Washington Supreme Court. But Washington law says an income tax is unconstitutional under our state constitution. 5 to 4, I believe.
Which party do you imagine most strongly resists imposition of a progressive income tax in Washington? We continue to have the poors pay a greater share of their incomes in taxes because every Republican wants it that way.
But on the bright side, I read recently that we have only the second most regressive state tax structure now. We’ll done, Mississippi!
-
This has nothing to do with the income tax you so desperately want
Hope this helps
-
Again, dear friend, the money doesn’t just drop from the sky.
-
If the legislature could get its income tax that they desperately want to save the poor, would they drop all of the others taxes that currently hurt the poor?
-
Since it would require a constitutional amendment as the law stands, certain guarantees could be included in the amendment as a condition of getting the necessary support. So would the state GOP agree to such a thing, or would they just give a flat No as in the past?
