My thoughts on the units specifically (because you asked)
QB = A - I don't think Demond is a A-level QB yet but the position is as strong as we could realistic expect this year. Star potential young starter. Veteran backup. Two true freshmen in the mix in the mode of LIPO what they are.
RB = A - Coleman is one of the best returning RBs in America. Mohammed looks great at #2 and Washington is an interesting potential speed wrinkle.
WR = C+ - Not sure if Boston is a great WR or just a good one. Everything else is a complete question mark.
TE = C+ - Getting Moore back is nice if nothing else but for run blocking. Will have to see if DeGraaf progresses more and Eldridge right now feels like a JAG blocking type.
OT = C- - Willis keeps this from being a D. I've seen almost nothing from the other guys at the position that isn't an F or D at best.
IOL = D - L. Hatchett at center and the potential of Paki Finau are what keeps this from being an F. G. Hatchett could push into C territory if improved from 2023.
DE = C - Durfee is an Incomplete. If Ward progresses could be a nice pass rusher and if healthy Davis II has big intrigue as a pure pass rusher. Lot of questions.
DT = C - There's enough bodies here I'd be surprised if this unit isn't adequate.
LB = B- Coug LB seems like a really underrated portal pickup. Manu too, if healthy. Bryant at the very least testing the UCF LB's spot tells me this group is at least solid.
CB = B - Big potential hear if Davis can find 2023 form. If…Also if Prysock can improve. Quietly this is a really thin position. Only three guys with any experience at all.
S = C- - This has quietly become our biggest question spot on defense. Esteen feels like JAG at best. The two transfers fit the profile of guys who haven't done much at UW. Clark is super interesting as a guy from Garfield who likes to hit.
Pretty close to what I had. QB/RB positions could be amazing. I want to believe that this roster will be far better than last year, but the defense is just a huge question mark. We got some portal guys but they weren't top-level players. OL on paper is really bad and Fisch didn't seem to try very hard to improve it in the portal so maybe he likes the young guys coming up.
Doogs are too high on Coleman. He needs to show more and hopefully the weight loss actually makes a difference. Would be huge if he could actually finish off those long runs. My grade there had to do with it's about as good at the position as UW could expect to be right now too. Where WR they should be better than Boston and a bunch of question marks.
Boston really fell off the second half of the year - not a single game of 100 yards or a touchdown. Thinking about it now I wonder if he had the injury he got cleaned up in the offseason and had been playing with it. Jedd did a great job at WR at Arizona maximizing McMillan, Singer, and Cowing so I have some trust Evans and the younger guys will be decent.
Boston made a top 3 catch I saw all year in the Oregon game. The 15 yard out from Demond near the Oregon goal line that was thrown too high, Boston went up and got it and got both toes down. Serious nfl catch. I thought no way he caught it live then on the replay I was just like…damn.
His 2h of the season production falling off may have had more to do with rogers completely falling apart, no?
It was a hell of a play and he was ok down the stretch. The Rogers point is good. It could also be a thing where Demond didn't go to him as much as Rogers did. Seems like QBs will have their guys and not their guys. For example, Keith Price didn't seem to go to Jermaine Kearse as much as Locker did and his production went way down his senior year.
I really like Coleman and don't consider myself a Doog. It seemed like they wanted to keep the tread on his tires last season and there's much more to play for in 2025, including the best NFL draft position he can get. The OL was largely doo-doo last year and should be decent to pretty good this year.
Let's not forget Omari Evans. He was a high 3-star coming out of the State of Tejas and averaged 19.5 ypc with 5 TDs last year. Drew Allar annoys me so clearly he was holding Omari back.
It wouldn't surprise me if the #3 guy in receptions is Decker DeGraaf with 35 catches and then Rashid Williams or Audric Harris / Kevin Green Jr. as #4.

You could play the 3 true freshman and at least have a D+/ C-
If Fish is who he is paid to be, expect at least a B from this O-Line or he can move on.

Wow why was that posted downvoted so many times? Not cool guys

Coleman too high, Boston too low

Everyone needs to show more

One of the few plays I saw from that game. Agree

What if I consider you a doog?
