That was awesome. Probably one of the cooler aces I’ve ever seen
-
Scottie would have hit my 67 prediction if he hadn’t missed that 3 footer on 17. I can’t believe Rory missed the same fucking putt right after. Retard.
-
Scottie's got some game. Respect.
Not like that fraud baller Obama. Cross faced shooting motherfucker. TITTT
-
Weather enters the chat
I love the best players in the world crying about an outdoor game played on real grass not being perfect in everyway .Play Jefferson Muni and get back to me
Or do TGL off of mats
-
Scottie is the huge favorite. Three major winners in the top 25, Fitzpatrick and Bryson join Scottie
Johnny Vegas is the kind of regular guy who could win one like Rich Beem or YE Yang. Been around. 4 wins. Won last year. Has some game
The PGA is home of the first time one hit wonder major winner.

Bryson and Rahm faded down the stretch as Scottie took control. Almost had a tournament
Alex Noren?
-
Saw this happen and got to thinking about Phil. Signing a glove wasn't enough. Gave one guy his Rolex and always had a wad of cash for others he hit
There is only one Phil
-
I didn’t have time to watch any of it yesterday, but that’s too bad. Scottie, Rahm, and Bryson going at it would have made for an exciting Sunday. Rahm is making a little run today and Scottie seems out of sorts. Bryson hasn’t been very sharp either, but if he can knock one close and make eagle on 14, he can get back in it.
-
Scottie with another bogey on 9. This shit is getting interesting in a hurry
-
Barring Scottie blowing up, this is over. Rahm can’t make a putt
-
PGA Tour > LIV. Time for a Master Negotiator to put this thing to bed.
-
I got tired of watching Bryson smash it 360 only to yank a wedge or flare it right. Saw enough of that from Rory the last decade
Scottie did just fine 30 yards shorter by actually playing golf
Rahm looked solid but once again didn't close
Quail Hollow has a great back 9 for tournament golf and it delivered
Scottie is growing into the hype. He's a cut above the top players. Got to get LIV back in the fold

Bryson is for sure limiting himself with his clubs. The full length thing aside, he hits a 9 iron like 190-200 or something. At most he has 4 clubs with more loft than that one, which gets him down to probably 130-150 yards. He should have lots wedges in the bag with two degree gaps instead of the usual 4-6 gaps with how far he hits it.
On Rahm, it was nice to see him trying to win and not caring about finish on the 16th hole. Props to him for trying that shot. -
Bryson hitting a 200 yard 9 iron into the water on 17 on Saturday was a joke. If he can take something off the fastball he'll do better.
-
Also need to take one final shot at Quail Hollow. This is a PGA tour course and not a major course and it’s not close. Yes it has three hard finishing holes, but the overwhelming number of holes have bunkers where the ball always settles in the bottom by design. It didn’t matter which side of the green you missed on for all but one pin that I can remember. The false fronts didn’t do shit. And it hardly mattered which side of the rough or fairway you were on.
-
He has 60, 55, 50, and 45 degree wedges. I’ve watched him play a shit ton of golf on his YouTube channel, and he never full swings a wedge. I agree that he needs to work on that part of his game, but the clubs aren’t the problem.

14 and 15 gave the chance for action but Rahm and Bryson made pars and Scottie used them to stretch the lead and eliminate the suspense
As Chris Petersen would say, its hard these days to challenge the best. Compare the Philly course a couple weeks ago by Tillinghast to the usual 525 yard par 4 bloated layouts that just eliminate the non bombers. Really tough to get more than a 7 iron in anyone's hands on approach. Back in the day a long par 4 left 220 and a 4 wood
I lean towards shorter and narrower with trouble at 300-350 yards off the tee. Severe greens and a wind machine
Oakmont will be interesting to see if it is still a monster
-
Rory in 2014 won two majors to get to 4 completing 2011 to 2014 as the clear #1. The Tiger comparisons were everywhere which is why I didn't like Rory.
Scottie got his first win and first major in 2022. So this is his 4th year at the top of the game. It always looks like it will go on forever until it doesn't
And writers always say you can't win a lot anymore until someone does. Jack came out in 1962. Tiger in 1996. In between were a lot of "next Nicklaus" types and 6 majors was the most anyone won. Until Tiger
My standard is - beat Phil and we'll talk. 45 wins and 6 majors
Golf is in a really good spot if they stop killing themselves in the foot
-
Once Philly Cricket club firmed up it got actually fairly tough because of its greens. Winner was -16, after day one leader was at -9. Oakmont was wet and soft in 2016 and DJ won at -4. It has the greens to still be a monster and you can’t fuck around with being short sided like you could at QH.
-
-
Why comparisons are silly
-
SI agrees Quail is a regular stop not a major. And DJ is mailing in his career. LIV was made for DJ and his generation like Lee Westwood
Jo Nieman was hurt by leaving. He could be a star. I think Koepka has some real regret too but the check cleared
-
Koepka was hurt and future was in doubt when the check cleared. I get it from his perspective.
Nieman for sure was a mistake at his age.
