Fourth Amendment Violation by Gov Bob Ferguson

How would this ever be a 4th Amendment violation?
-
People get what they vote for.
Dumbfucks.
-
“Hey guise, Washington is a police state so I moved to San Diego and Palm Springs”
Such a piece of garbage.
-
So not a 4th Amendment violation. Glad we could agree on this.
-
Tuggers suddenly care about the constitution again.
-
Imagine doing around 80 going through Centralia and cop pulls you over because a drone caught you, and then some time later you have a device installed on your car, paying top dollar so that the warranty doesn't get voided, so that something can limit the fuel intake as you approach 65-70 miles per hour.
Then imagine that there are real people that think this is all a good idea and completely justified too, because everybody needs to drive like a 65+ year old fat lezbo everywhere in the state.
-
I’m sure this made sense to you when you posted it. It doesn’t make sense for anyone else.
I assume you’re in favor of this for Mommy and Dad’s vehicles.
-
Constitution won't allow deportation of illegals but will allow your car to be seized and modified without due process
Tug retards
-
Race now advocating that cars are people too.
-
Private property is in the constitution
You should read it sometime
-
This thread has a subject line. The issue wasn't whether it's a good idea.
-
That's very creepy. I'm glad I left that state a while ago.
-
So we can't speed - but we can rev the fuck out of engines in the State of Washington.
For now.
-
Technically it's 10 over in an area with a speed limit of 40 mph or under, and 20 over in an area over 40 mph, that will win the dumb prize.
-
If they don't punish out of staters the same way it is an unequal application of the law. Unconstitutional.
-
That's the 14th Amendment.
I'm told it doesn't mean anything it says.
-
So you have to be a dumb ass....
-
Going 50 in a 40 isn’t being a dumbass.
-
debateable.... 35 is usually in the city... I think 45 is dangerous. And 20 over is definitely high enough on the highway....
-
It's a gateway for more government tyranny
-
Washington is cooked. Full of simpletons like H

Well If you’re walking into office 16b underwater, this seems like a great idea from a revenue perspective because I can promise you that local and state will be incentivized heavily to enforce at the police and court level.
Get popped doing 70 across the 520 bridge at 630am? That’ll be:
- A speeding ticket at 250.00 or whatever…
- A half day off work to attend traffic court because this is obviously a process that cannot be administered any other way than in-person.
- Paying for the installation and equipment for the governor device on your car(let’s say another half day off work). No way this happens for under 500.00
- A 21.00/mo subscription for the term of the penalty(1yr?)
- Raise in monthlies on your auto insurance premiums, which are already inflated due to the fact that we are a leader in break ins and auto theft.
lol this turns a Speeding ticket and over the phone fine payment into a 1,000.00 ordeal and DUI-esque time penalty for going TEN MPH over the posted limit. What the fuck are we doing, guys?
-
Might have yo do some shop lifting to cover that bill.
-
Good point Bob
Time for an equity clause. Only white drivers get popped
-
This is a great point and It’s only fair. You can’t expect minorities to have a valid registration/DL/insurance. They just don’t have the same kinds of access to the DOL website as the rest of the population.
In fact it’s probably racist to impose those kinds of standards on the marginalized communities in our great state. Double that penalty for white people and Asians to make up the shortfall. Maybe impose a lift in monthly fees for internal combustion engines.
The potential is there to really fuck with people driving two and from work and we can’t let that opportunity go uncaptured👍
-
Every accident I encounter yet these days seems to involve an Indian or a feeble looking Asian (not the tuff Tukwila Asians). The common denominator here is that they are drivers that don’t make their intentions obvious to other drivers and can’t figure out which lane they want to be in. That’s a far bigger issue than speed.
-
Tunnel vision out on the road is a the recipe for disaster. And it happens always w this group of non-citizens. Which is amazing when you consider the traffic from where they came.
Add cruise control that automatically keeps a distance from the vehicle in front of them. Guaranteed road rage to follow. But it’s the road rager’s fault instead of the aforementioned idiot assholes.
What a day to be alive.

Much like the DUI thing is all a racket. The difference being that no one has sympathy for drunk drivers but everyone speeds at some point.
I'm sure the installers will all be on a shortlist of approved contractors. All who happen to lobby and donate to a certain party.
-
Like any other industry that can't remain relevant without government intervention, they lobbied for the bill in the name of "safety" to secure their financial windfall.

When I was a motor you had to go 15 over to draw my attention. School zones were 10 over. If you were an asshole you wrote your own ticket and smiled the whole time. That is if there wasn't a unit coming to transport you to jail.
