The actual rigging is done in plain sight by gerrymandering. This tends to produce districts with trumpist loonies. Also if the voting act requiring passport or birth certificate passes the elections will only be fake and pretend.
Actual tampering is rare. It does happen. Rarely.

Both stuffing the ballot box and voter suppression can be attempted under either system. I personally preferred the civic exercise of going to a polling place, but there isn't any evidence that one is more secure than the other.

What do you define as suppression? Must be alive, an American citizen, live in the precinct you vote in and occurs on Election Day and you need to present ID may seem like suppression to a retard. It's Election Day, not weeks before and weeks after.
